When we are traveling we normally stay at Holiday Inn Express. When staying in Jonesboro our only option was your standard Holiday Inn. I definitely expected it to exceed the standards of an express but unfortunately, I was wrong.
When booking, I upgraded our rooms to include breakfast. I didn't realize until we got there that this is limited to 2 adults per room. When we went to the front desk to add more to our breakfast coupons adding 2 from my room was $16 something and adding 1 from our other room was $11something. We didn't question it, we just needed to eat and get on the road.
The original room we were in had a broken shower, after 14 hours on the road and finally getting to the room and starting to settle in, this was a huge let down so we had to pack up and move rooms. There was also a very questionable outlet that I discouraged my daughter from using in the initial room. The staff was friendly and accommodating for getting us a new room and the second room had no issues.
All of the staff we encountered was extremely friendly. One of the housekeepers even drew a super cute picture for the extra towels note they left in the room. Which was also a great addition.
I also LOVED that there was a Keurig in the room instead of having to go down to the lobby for coffee.
Breakfast was okay, the selection appeared great and honestly the biscuits and gravy were probably the best I've had at a hotel. The only issues we had was that the food was all basically cold, the english muffins were extremely hard, the yogurt was questionable, and it just wasn't what we expected for the prices we were charged with upgrades and adding meals.
Again, the staff? Exceptional with their friendliness, I almost hate having to share the negatives.

DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE. THEY WILL LIE AND SAY YOU SMOKED MARIJUANA INSIDE THE ROOM AND CHARGE YOU A 500.00 FEE.This is utterly ridiculous. My brother and I stayed overnight in the room for 5.5 hours only. Made it here about 5am and checked out around 10:30am. Only had enough time to barely sleep, shower and checkout early to go pick up my vehicle from a nearby dealership. I do not understand why anyone working at this establishment would make a false accusation of us smoking in the room.
I know it is against the policy to smoke anything inside a hotel room. I worked for two different hotels in my past and understand that a fee is charged for smoking in the rooms. This is crazy and truly ridiculous! Think twice about booking a stay at this hotel!
DO NOT BOOK A STAY AT THIS HOTEL! THEY WILL LIE AND SAY YOU SMOKED IN THE ROOM AND CHARGE YOUR CARD 500.00!!!

Just to let everyone know that their breakfast is not included.... Costs a 11.50 and their is no signage to let you know... I checked in at 10 pm . Nothing about breakfast being a extra cost was mentioned, and went downstairs for a coffee and yogurt in the morning. Was the informed I would get a $11-12 extra charge!

Not horrible, but not great either. We almost always stay at this brand of hotel and are use to the consistency. At check in we expect a friendly staff member to check us in. Instead we were served by a cold staff member that seemed like we were more of a bother then anything.
This is also the first time staying with this brand that we didn't have free breakfast. They charged $15 per person for breakfast. We declined and went to waffle House, which was cheaper. If you are experiencing typical Holiday Inn experience, don't choose this location.

This hotel stay was awful. We were supposed to have a wheelchair accessible room and it wasn't. The ac unit kept turning on and off all night. The toilet kept running so bad that we had to shut the water off to it and to top everything off there was a strobe light for the hearing accessible room that was flashing all night long.
