  Had an absolutely terrible experience at this hotel. I have been staying with Holiday Inn for almost 10 years and never had an experience like this. I added an extra night when booking for a total of 3 nights. I ended up only staying one. I got there at 1:30 pm and the had me pay the early $30 fee which was fine. I got to my room and unpacked my bags which was fine. I left to go to lunch and came back and the pool said closed which was closed for a reason I understood. When I asked they said it was out of their control. Which was completely a let down being as I booked this hotel at the $199 plus tax just for the pool. I then decided to take a shower and relax. Upon looking at the showers they still had what looked like beard shavings in the shower. I washed it down and went about my way. When I went down in the morning to breakfast, tried to greet the workers and none said hi. I went to "check out" and recheck in as the told me being as I had to reservation numbers this was how I had to do it. When I handed her my card (Cash-app) she said it wasn't accepted. I told her I paid with it the day before? She huffed and said she would take it. I asked her if there was a manager available and she said she was the front desk manager and she could help me. I told her I would postpone my recheck in. I walked to the elevator and a worker was standing there with a clip board waiting for the elevator to open. Once it did she walked in and closed the door before I could walk in to go up with her. I had to wait for it to one back down. I decided that I was done with the hotel. I packed my bags and headed to a new hotel up the street, the quality inn, paid half the price for my rooms, got better customer service and a better experience. When I was getting my bags to take them into my new hotel, I saw ants pouring out of my purse, snack back and luggage. Not only had I had a bad experience but also got ants in ALL my bags from the holiday Inn. Never again will I stay at this hotel. I have never experienced anything like this from a holiday inn and was deeply disappointed for the first time in my hotel life.

  This was probably one of the worst Holiday Inns I've stayed in, and I hate to admit it!! First of all, the room smelled like someone had smoked in there, and the staff had used strong cleaning supplies to try to mask it. Our throats felt terrible, and we both woke up the next morning with headaches. We didn't feel relief from it until we checked out and breathed some fresh air. It sounds awful and complainy, but if we pick a non-smoking room, it's for a reason. They need to be better about that. Next, the drain was clogged in the shower. There was hair in there that did not belong to us, as well as some mold around the bath tub. The shower looked like it had been "surface cleaned" to look nice. The bathroom was probably the dirtiest part of the room. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly at all. Hair everywhere, sink was also clogged, and there was dirt and grime. Again, most likely surface cleaned to look nice from a distance. We ended up going to Brandon, Missouri for a movie just to get out of the room. We ended up staying at the hotel because we didn't have anywhere else to go, but it wasn't the best experience by any means. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

  I was reading the reviews before booking at everyone had pretty good reviews so I booked it. Hair on the beds, all in the bathroom and just overall not clean. I’m glad we are here only for a night.
