  Telephone in Room and outles the room do not work elevator it's not working on a weekend. A holiday weekend at that, staff was wonderful it was 102° outside by 12 noon There should be a water fountain with cold water or A container with fruit infused ice cold water available for guests to get at their leisure. It was not the quality that I expected from Holiday Inn express nor for the amount of money charged per night.

  I usually love my stays at HIE for the clean rooms friendly service and free breakfast. The service was ok, the rooms are good but they really go cheap on the air con(when it’s really needed for hot summers in Arkansas). The room didn’t get cold enough due to the air con not blowing strong cold consistent air. Worst of all if you are staying on the 2nd or 4th floor u cannot call for an elevator because the elevator buttons are broke. Have to take the stairs down to the lobby. They should have at least sent a courtesy text or email for anyone making reservations with the options to cancel because there will be guests that can’t use the stairs. Breakfast is good. Hope when you stay there the elevator is fixed or pray you don’t get a room on the 2nd or 4th floor.

  Holiday Inn Forrest City ruined my vacation. They took my money, provided no room, and wouldn't resolve the issue. I made reservations online. There was confusion about dates so when I arrived it was for a different date. Rather than fix it, they told me I could purchase an additional room at about 3x the cost and my credit would not be applied. That was not in the budget so I ended up getting back in the car with my kids and driving through the night. The lady working the desk was the opposite of what you'd expect in the hospitality industry. More like the hostility industry. Because of my experience, I will never stay in or recommend Holiday Inn to anyone ever again. They swindled me out of over $100 and provided nothing in return, and there's no recourse.

  Dryer doesn't work Pool is way too cold. My kid was looking forward to it all day and couldn't even go in. Elevator also doesn't work (floors 2&4 don't go down) But even going up, it sounds like it's on its last leg. I don't think the shower curtains are changed with every person (there's a weird smell in the shower) which is gross I was charged more than my booking confirmation Took the front desk lady a little while to come out from behind the partition when we got there.. and she is not friendly. This hotel is a disappointment for sure. I typically like holiday inn express but will definitely not return to this one. It's too run down. I don't understand the good reviews. Just 12 hours ago, we checked out of à la quinta inn - it was cheaper and way better condition
