  Not a standard Holiday Inn Express — Cut corners on the 'remodel' Room 420 This location is not your typical, purpose-built corporate Holiday Inn Express. It’s an older, acquired hotel that they are currently trying to remodel, and unfortunately, the growing pains are very evident. While we were placed in one of the supposedly 'new' rooms, the updates appear to be strictly cosmetic. They clearly recycled the old furniture, as the king mattress was definitely not new. Mine had a massive dent in it and I could easily feel the springs, making for a miserable night's sleep. The most concerning issue was the climate control. The HVAC unit in our 'remodeled' room was easily 20+ years old and visibly moldy. Leaving an outdated, contaminated system to blow air through a freshly painted room is a massive oversight and completely unacceptable for indoor air quality. Getting around the property is just as frustrating. The building only has a single elevator, and I waited 10 minutes just to use it. Add in the fact that the property is currently an active construction zone with nowhere near enough parking to accommodate guests, and it makes for a very frustrating stay. I would avoid booking here until the construction is actually finished and they replace the aging mechanicals.

  First time in this hotel... I understand that some cleaning details are out of control due to renovation, but in general, this is fine. The hotel has potential and I have no doubt that when I return it will be perfect ... the young reception man named Michael Woooo super friendly and I loved his style ... what I did not like is how difficult it is to find parking

  You have no furniture in the room. You have to sit or lay on your bed all the time. I don't like the heavy spreads to sleep under so I ask for a rollout bed blanket at my stays and always get one except here. No bang for your $150 plus a night. I'll stay in Springdale the next few weeks.
