  My sister and her family stay here while we ran a firework stand all the way in Alexander city. According to them the rooms were okay turn on the front desk people were okay, the food was decent in the morning and the only problem is that they had, and I don't even know if it's a problem however they were saying that the water was so cold it was unbearable... So, that's the only issues I would see with it. It is in sylacauga, there's really not tons and tons and tons to do so I don't know if the location is the best in the world but if you had to stay here this would be a good centralized location.

  I originally checked into a room that was in an appalling state of neglect. The bathroom was falling apart with a peeling bathtub basin, a loose toilet with exposed rusted bolts, and tile baseboards detaching from the wall. The bedroom had broken light fixtures, taped-up outlets, stained carpets, and severe drywall cracks around the door frames. That room never should have been assigned to a guest. ​To the front desk's credit, when I brought these issues forward, the agent handled it beautifully and moved me immediately. She was transparent and explained that the old owners were recently replaced and the new ownership group is in the process of planning upgrades. ​My second room is definitely an improvement, but it still suffers from the same underlying symptoms of long-term neglect—stained carpets, outdated AC units, and peeling paint around the frames. The entire property is desperately overdue for a refresh. While the front-line staff is doing their best to manage the situation, the hotel remains in complete disrepair. Avoid staying here until the new ownership actually executes their renovation plans.

  For the price I paid i was severely disappointed in the hotel. The following was out of order: pool; ice machine 3rd floor, pancake maker at breakfast. Then the room was big but Room needs repairs the blinds don't open, the fire sprinkler coming out of ceiling, the toilet paper holder is coming out, and no room phone

  This hotel desperately needs a remodel/redo with better quality work than last time!! Not as nice as many HIE hotels. Tiles are separating from wall at floor in bathroom, mildew/mold in shower and above, toilet seat decaying--particularly icky!, carpets and furniture dirty, table surfaces appear dirty in room, scant towel supplies in room. Convenience/snack area was literally completely empty when I arrived late night, but was restocked next AM--I almost wondered if they had put everything away at night to prevent theft? Which is a shame if people stealing stuff without paying! Hall carpets near left rear entrance are filthy and the card swipe on same entrance didn't work. This door doesn't latch behind you anyway unless slammed or pushed, so seems to be open half the time or more. Need more parking in front as back is dark and kinda scary, esp for solo travelers. Large construction trucks and trailers often "hog" multiple parking spots at this hotel. I've noted these general deficits in ownership and management over the past 2-3 yrs to the point that I will not stay there again until owner makes improvements. Would rather drive 30min from Alex City when I work in Sylacauga. Thank you for your attention to these matters mentioned!
