  ​Spacious and Clean, But Mind the Unique Amenities and Policies ​I recently stayed at the Candlewood Suites on Eastchase in Montgomery, Alabama, and had a largely positive experience, though there were a few unique quirks worth noting. ​First and foremost, the room itself was excellent. It was incredibly clean, very spacious, and featured a really nice setup that made settling in feel effortless. However, my main critique regarding the room layout is the dining situation. I would absolutely love it if they added a proper, designated area or table to eat inside the suite. The single, tiny food tray provided just isn't enough surface area, and nobody wants to resort to sitting on the bed to eat their meals. ​This stay also brought a brand-new experience for us regarding amenities: because housekeeping is not provided daily, you actually have to bring your used towels and washcloths down to the front desk yourself to exchange them for fresh ones. It was the first time we have ever had to do that at a hotel. If guests are expected to handle this, the hotel really should provide a basket, satchel, or bag in the room so you aren't getting your clothes wet trying to carry everything down and bring your replacements back up. ​Additionally, we ran into some minor trouble with the elevator, which was frequently delayed and required a bit of a wait. ​Ultimately, despite the slow elevator, the towel exchange hassle, and the dining tray limitation, the sheer size and cleanliness of the room won me over. It's a great property, and I would definitely stay here again!

  Everybody that gives only the bad reviews you have to take the good with the bad I would like to say that candlewood suites is a blessing a bunch of army veterans and service people stay here I want to say God bless everyone all the bad reviews again you have to take the good with the bad this is a very nice place God bless everyone

  Terrible experience with service. Military put me here for 3 weeks. Good location! Extended stay means they only come by once a week to give new towels etc but after a week, I had to ask for the room to be clean and it took 2 days (9 days in) the next week I asked when they missed a day and every day after and although they said they would, it was never cleaned. So one refresh of towels and linen in 3 weeks. Bad storm hit and my room gained water sarurating about 3 feet diameter around the carpet. The service desk was very kind and said they would fix it in the morning.. I got towels from the desk and soaked up what I could. No one ever came to get the moisture out of the carpet despite me reminding day and night. Now the room smells like mildew and I'm thankful I'm leaving tomorrow. The desk is very nice but as far as action goes, nothing gets done.

  Reasonable fair competitive rate. Very accommodating staff. Clean, comfortable contemporary room. Easy to get to from I 85 with maybe restaurants very nearby. I would definitely stay there again.
