  We had an excellent stay at the Candlewood suites on Royal Street in Mobile for seven days. I saw where one reviewer gave it a one star that is incredibly hard to believe because of our wonderful experience. It was his only review on Google. He must’ve had a grudge against someone at the hotel. Everyone and I mean everyone at the hotel was gracious and friendly, and willing to help in any way. If there’s any negative to our stay did not have a restaurant. However, there are many fine restaurants and bars within two blocks. Also, there’s a Greer market grocery store that is a block and a half away. If we are back in Mobile, we will definitely stay at the Candlewood suites once again. It was most likely one of our best host hotel stays anywhere.

I SAID REPEATEDLY THE OTHER WASN'T ME...SO STOP BEING RUDE".....From August 2025...Very Disappointing Experience – Questionable Housekeeping Practices I spent approximately a month at Candlewood Suites last year while working on a project painting the exterior of the hotel. Initially, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, that changed after an incident involving housekeeping. I discovered that $6 in paper bills had been taken from my room, while approximately $3 in silver change was left behind. I reported the incident to management, and the manager had the head housekeeper and a trainee return my money. Their explanation was that they believed the money was a tip. My question was simple: If they thought it was a tip, why did they move the change to take only the paper bills? It wasn't about the $6. It was about trust and respecting a guest's personal belongings. What made the experience even more disappointing was the change in attitude afterward. Staff who had previously been friendly became noticeably rude and unpleasant following my complaint. I appreciated the manager getting my money returned, but guests should never have to worry about their belongings or feel mistreated for reporting a legitimate concern. A hotel's hospitality should not disappear the moment a guest raises a complaint.

  Our first time in Mobile, AL for a wedding and celebrating my birthday. We let them know and the staff went ALL OUT for us. Great service from front desk to room service. Super convenient that they had a little mart with late night snacks. Two amenities we appreciated: gym and laundry room! We really liked that you needed your card to access doors and elevators - just that added bit of security when you're in a city you've never been to. Not to mention it's next to plenty of good eats, sights, and sounds. Check out The Haberdasher, amazing cocktails! We had a great time eating the food, grabbing breakfast, and checking out the vintage stores. We don't know when we'll be back in Mobile, but we will 100% stay here. Thank you so much!

  Stayed here 1 night to catch mardi gras express to New Orleans. Was nearby the station and we could leave our vehicle there. Beds were so comfortable and slept well.
