  PSA !! I've stayed here a few times. It has definitely changed. I've noticed a shift. And one thing this city lacks is consistency. That also includes the food industry as well.. Nevertheless.. It's not bad at all but it could be better. Small things in the beginning add up. With it being a new facility it should be easy to maintain cleanliness. I noticed the elevator floors being dirty. The windows dirty & the corners in the bathroom & near the tub. People hanging out in the parking lot & smoking weed outside in the pool area. I love the location & it's near the area where I live. And the location attracts people that want to be away from the city. Which I feel draws in the right & wrong crowd. I also noticed litter in the parking lot as well as cigarette butts. I just hope they put their foot down before things get out of hand. One thing about this city is they will turn a good thing bad fast. Please don't let people that don't have any type of respect & decorum about themselves run this place in the ground. It's beautiful over here & let's keep it that way. Also I love the front desk manager, Jeff. He is a gem.

  Everything was great except the ac for 3 days it wasnt as cold as we had excepted. But the breakfast was amazing and coffee anytime is a plus.

  The room was nice but the air conditioner was screwed up. It sounded like a rocket taking off. I called the desk and the lady said its just vibration. Finally at 9pm I insisted a new room which put me on the 4th floor. Not much help with the staff for this.

  I am writing to formally bring to your attention a deeply unacceptable experience I endured at check-in at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Huntsville Northeast on August 10, 2026, at approximately 10:00 PM. Upon my arrival, the night manager, Jeff, was unable to locate my reservation. I waited patiently in the lobby for roughly 30 minutes before asking for an update on the situation. Rather than offering assistance or reassurance, Jeff dismissively told me to "have better patience" because the booking was made through a third-party site (Priceline). When I questioned this handling—given that IHG explicitly lists inventory on Priceline and accepts prepaid bookings through the platform—he dismissively responded that my payment went to Priceline, not IHG. Instead of de-escalating a situation caused by a system or front-desk issue, Jeff proceeded to escalate matters in full view of other lobby guests. While physically withholding my room key, he threatened to call the police on me. I explicitly asked him to either proceed with calling the authorities or hand over my room key so I could go to my room. After texting on his personal phone, placing a call, and stating aloud that he "didn't want to deal with this," he eventually handed over my room key after several more tense and uncomfortable minutes. The hostility, lack of professionalism, and public humiliation I experienced from a manager at this location are completely contrary to the service standards expected of the IHG brand. I will definitely never return to a place like this.
