  I arrived after an extremely long day of driving alone across multiple states and was physically exhausted. I simply needed a room and a place to rest. The front desk employee became irritated when I asked routine questions about room orientation and the $50 incidental hold. Instead of helping, she raised her voice, told me she would no longer speak to me, stopped responding to my requests for assistance, and left me standing in the lobby. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told nobody else was available, yet a manager appeared a short time later and assisted me. The manager was professional, courteous, and explained the incidental hold in less than a minute. She apologized and got me checked in. Ironically, Room 521 turned out to be one of the nicest rooms of my trip, with a beautiful view and afternoon sunshine that allowed me to finally rest after an exhausting day. Unfortunately, I cannot overlook how I was treated at check-in. I later submitted a formal complaint and never received a response. Based on my experience, I would not stay at this property again.

  Love this hotel except for the elevator . Getting on the elevator, the elevator door seemed like it was gonna get stuck as it was opening up.

  A few hours after our checkin we got hit with a light smell of gas.Didn’t think much of it. A few hours later once we returned from a staff dining. The local firefighters 🚒 were outside the hotel due to a gas leak inside this property. We check out and we will NEVER be back to this location. Unsafe and a big safety hazard.

  TJ , PJ , Adrian & Dymond ARE the best here! They truly make this location my first pic when I’m in Alabama! Always making sure things are just right. And very personal/professional! They all are truly a people’s person type of people. I wish them so much good and the best in life. They have NEVER changed and remain true to hosting guest in the best way! Please IHG give them a standing ovation for me! ☺️🙏🏾 💚💚🤍🤍

  The MEANEST & GRUMPIEST lady Tara that HAS served me a few times at the bar ; this time had a HORRIBLE attitude! She seems to ALWAYS be UNDERCOVER eavesdropping, be DRAMATIC , micro managing & create PROBLEMS where there is NONE! Ran into her 3x and she likes to TRY to be on top EVERYONE whether it’s a guest or a newbie; as if she’s possibly miserable and needs to take it out on someone. She may pretend to come off as if she is sweet, but NONE of that matches her character. She changes things to her OWN way: very authoritative & bossy as if she OWNS the place! Imagine a complimentary drink card is only for beer?? Not everyone walking in the door drinks only beer! Hmm meanwhile it should be for wine/Beer or a beverage. Just as all other Holiday inns offer! She was so adamant on making sure she wouldn’t give me the complimentary glass of wine when I presented it to her! Her response was “you can’t get no wine wit dat”, it’s been changed to ONLY draft beer”. I did go verify it at the front desk since they do issue them. And w/ me also knowing her character already too, I didnt want to not just take her word on it! She went to the end of the bar to eavesdropp, and when front desk went to ask her if the card can’t be accepted for wine , She AUTOMATICALLY said I called her a liar! Lol (her neck& eyes rolling) That Never came out of my mouth!! ✨(I what mean she will create a problem where thers is NONE!) ✨ False accusations against me is what drew the line for me to make this accurate review of her. False accusations is what I will never tolerate as thats a serious matter that she needs to be held accountable for! Anyway, I’ll never go to the bar if I see her there. She is just not the type of energy I would want to be around and it’s VERY unwelcoming! She LACKS having a vibrant hospitality vibe while working in a hospitable industry/environment & NEEDS the PROPER training for it. Grumpiness and Meanness WONT work! I did attempt to spare her & give her grace the first few times. Busy after running into her 3x at the bar and she her true colors become more aggravated! She has left me with no other options than to just let it be known that this is just her trait!
