  SHELTER FROM THE STORM I brought my elderly mother here to escape Hurricane Isaias. Leslie was super easy to work with, securing our last minute reservations over the phone, as we drove from Bonifay, Fl…80 miles inland from where the hurricane was expected to make landfall. Leslie was even keel, cool as a cucumber, which was much appreciated, given our (slightly unnerving) situation. I appreciated her patience as I had to call a few times. She was also very professional, approachable, and helpful in person. I have to say, I’ve never seen a hotel Manager handle SO MUCH, with so little! They were running a skeleton crew last weekend, as the weather caused some hazardous driving conditions for employees. The hotel filled up, with some big band (that hid well!), 20+ Lineman filling up the lobby, and many other people seeking sanctuary from the storm. I even witnessed Leslie helping with the laundry, the breakfast service, and working all day and all night at least one day during our stay…now THAT’S dedication! It speaks volumes for Leslie as a faithful employee with strong work ethics, and as a caring human being… She never once complained. Amy picked up where Leslie left off, and she did a fine job as well, as she had big shoes to fill! The breakfast folks did a great job, as did the cleaning crew. They say, “ it takes a village”… and this little village moved mountains last weekend! We are rewards members, and this is why.   Dylan was so kind and went above and beyond to get my family and us in a room asap because we were vacationing in PCB when the hurricane was coming through a be decided to move back a little bit and he went above and beyond! The maintenance man went above and beyond as well the headboard wouldn’t shut off and the remote was missing and tv wouldn’t turn on so he got us a remote and got the tv working!!! The front desk day lady was very helpful and kind as well! Definitely southern hospitality at its finest!! Thank you all!!!

  All the staff was very nice and professional and helpful. The general manager, Leslie, was so nice to come to my room within 5 minutes of sending her a message requesting help with the connectivity on the TV. I was only here for a night but I would go out of my way to come back again! Thanks for going the extra mile and I'll try to go the extra mile to come back next time. Frank

  They were having issues with the elevator so they were putting everyone on the first floor. The first room we were given had a toilet that would not stop running and was very loud. The bathroom was dingy and had bad repair work done in the shower. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and put us in another room. The second room had no remote for the tv and the power outlet under the TV did not work. Again the bathroom felt dingy. The pool outside our window looked dirty and full of leaves. This is Labor Day weekend and it's still hot, so that area should be clean and ready for guests.
