  I am highly impressed with the staff at the Candlewood Suites in Dothan, Alabama. During our attempt to check in, we were evacuating due to an incoming hurricane. The manager made every effort to accommodate all guests, even while training another employee. They ensured that everyone felt welcomed and worked diligently to attend to each guest as quickly as possible. Our room was clean and prepared upon our arrival.

  We stayed one night and arrived late and tired. We didn't check the condition of the room before we slept. The next morning I noticed the chair looked stained and there was a spot at the toilet on the floor. I got out my black light and that room glowed like a neon sign. To spare the details, let's just say there was bodily fluid all in that room that could have easily been cleaned. That room obviously wasn't cleaned properly. Just nasty!!!

  The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Numerous restaurants and shopping are conveniently located nearby.

  I booked a two-month stay at this property. I have since been moved through three rooms, and each has had a pest problem: First room (second floor): I found a cockroach in the bathroom, and a short time later a second cockroach on the bed. I requested a room change. Second room (second floor): I began waking with insect bites consistent with bed bugs. I requested another room change, and at my own expense laundered all of my clothing and belongings on high heat in both the washer and dryer so that nothing would be carried into another room, to other guests, or to my home. Third room (first floor): I am again finding bites. This room also has small black flying insects and black ants in the bathroom. I have photographs documenting the bites across multiple nights. I have also been keeping all of my clothing and luggage off the carpet and on hard surfaces throughout my stay to limit any spread. I have reported these issues to the front desk on several occasions. Each time I was told maintenance would be notified to inspect the room. On following up, I was told the inspection had not been carried out and had likely been forgotten. To my knowledge, no pest control inspection has been performed on any room I have occupied. Separately, housekeeping has twice failed to service my room on the scheduled seven-day extended-stay cycle. On both occasions I had to contact the front desk myself to arrange it. the property is pet-friendly and that all rooms are carpeted. That combination makes an active, documented pest management program essential rather than optional, particularly for extended-stay guests sleeping in these rooms every night for weeks.

  😲😲😲👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 VERY clean suites! VERY nice atmosphere. Free coffee bar which was amazing. No breakfast but have a store. Front desk reps were AWESOME & ATTENTIVE to customer needs. I love it here. Our local fam stopoed by to visit and said they're gonna reserve a room & come and stay bc it was so refreshing and relaxing😆 You wont be dissatisfied. Gotta good rate via priceline😉👍🏽
