The Hotel Indigo Birmingham is located in a landmark Art Deco style building dating from the early 1930s in the city's historic Five Points South neighborhood. The hotel is situated in the booming and vibrant town of Birmingham near UAB. Hotel Indigo is set in the lively and roaring entertainment district of Birmingham, reminiscent of Bourbon street. Originally designed for medical offices and across from the first apothecary in Birmingham, the building became a hotel in the 1980s, but still retains its original medical insignia etched above the elevator doors. The hotel's design acknowledges the building's rich history, while incorporating modern amenities, like hardwood floors, spa inspired showers, luxury bath amenities and linens. We are also adding some exciting and tasty options to an area already known as one of the city's premier dining and entertainment districts. The Rx Lounge pays homage to the medical apothecary theme and provides prescriptions in the form of food and beverage.

- AWAlierykel WilliamsJul 20, 20261.0I do not recommend this hotel at all. I booked a reservation for one night, and the hotel room that I was assigned to had bed bugs. I’ve been in contact with IHG Customer service and sent emails to the site, however, no one from the hotel has even reached out to rectify the issue. Very dissatisfied with the service at this hotel and disgusted with the stay. AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!!
- PKPhil KozisekMay 16, 20261.0Great location for walking distance to places to eat. My co-workers stayed a block down and had a much better experience. The staff is just rude. The parking is Valet and that’s if they are there and not out on break and if so you have to ask the staff for your vehicle. I don’t mind walking to get my car but a sign posted to let you know would be nice, as I was late for my meeting just waiting for the valet. You request on the app and it says they are retrieving but no one there. Don’t expect any adjustment either if they don’t show. The hotel just states they don’t work for them, but sorry, if they are sitting in your lobby, only parking for your hotel your connected. The sound outside is out of their control but just be warned, it’s is very hard to sleep at night. The room temp can ONLY be controlled by the front desk, and it reverts back after just a few hours. I woke up every morning to a very warm room. I’ve stayed at MANY hotels and have NEVER seen this at any hotel. I have no idea how they keep the Indigo brand but this isn’t your typical upper scale hotel, as a Holiday Inn Express would be more comfortable!

It is close to UAB but we could have stayed closer for a comparable rate and a clean room. I will tolerate noise but not a dirty room. The staff was very kind so for that I give them a 5 star. Parking was basically good luck on the street or pay for valet which is $35/day. Overall not happy with my stay.

Go to the room 78 degrees climate can not be controled from the room.back done to the desk to get to the second room which was an ice box. I then went down and checked out. Weird vibe - this property needs to figure out if it's a hotel or youth hostal. Either way not a good experience to have at 9 at night and then find another hotel
