- TRTed ReviewerAug 10, 20263.0I stayed in Room 325. There was a heavy stench of mildew. They gave me a spray to cover up the smell, but it didn't work. I was able to open the window and the door and allow fresh air into the space. Seems like I've seen this problem in hotels before. They keep a room shuttered until high occupancy and someone gets stuck with it. Typically this comes from water vapor trapped in the bathroom drains - which because they keep the windows shut, can't really evaporate, breeding mildew. See posting by Truth251 - captured exactly the same issue.

- TGTim GertzJul 8, 20262.0Tuesday, July 7th. 2026 Disabled veteran here... My daughter and I were traveling to Virginia from Texas. We usually like to stay at a Holiday Inn when we travel and we travel quite often. We will be rethinking and probably staying at a different hotel from now on. 1. We asked for a room by the pool. My 13 year old daughter loves to use the pool after a long day. After we payed for the room, the desk clerk told us it was closed. Didn't know why or when it would open. 2. Thermostat stuck on 68. Could not be adjusted on the unit itself nor on the wall. 3. No wifi. Could not connect and again the desk was no help. 4. Fire alarm near the front desk AND one in the hallway beeping all night! 8:35am now and still beeping! 5. Front desk had no answers when brought to their attention. 6. Every handicapped spot taken. Not by disabled people, but by inconsiderate guests. This is all stuff that could have been rectified, yet the staff didn't seem to care or have any motivation to. We won't risk another stay at Holiday Inn.
