  I don’t even know how to properly review Moose Landing because 5 stars honestly doesn’t cover it. I came to Alaska expecting an adventure. I did NOT expect to find a family who would basically take me under their wing and help make this one of the best trips I’ve ever had. From the minute I arrived, they went above and beyond for me — and I mean ABOVE AND BEYOND. They helped me with absolutely everything I needed, and not just during the days I was staying with them. They helped with my entire trip. Questions, plans, fishing, where to go, what to do… I’m pretty sure at some point I just started assuming they could solve all of my problems. 😂 And then there were the experiences. Fishing. Fresh salmon. Oysters and wine by a fire on the river. Wildlife. Gorgeous Alaska scenery. The kind of moments you can’t exactly order when you book a cabin — they just happen because you’re staying with genuinely wonderful people. As for the actual accommodations: 100% clean, safe and comfortable. The cabin was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and as a woman traveling through Alaska, feeling safe and taken care of meant a lot to me. But the family is what makes this place special. You can book a beautiful cabin anywhere. You cannot book people who genuinely care whether you are having an amazing trip. I left Moose Landing feeling like I had experienced a little piece of the REAL Alaska instead of just visiting it. I have traveled quite a bit, and I can honestly say I have never had a better trip. Moose Landing and this family were a huge reason why. If you’re trying to decide whether to stay here — BOOK IT. And if you don’t have as much fun as I did, I really don’t know what to tell you. 😂 Thank you for taking such incredible care of me and for giving me memories I will never forget. ❤️ Alaska already had my heart… but you guys pretty much sealed the deal.

  This was an amazing stay, perfect place for any age group, we fished hard for 5 days & it was nice to come back to a nice cabin, awesome location which was not far from most fishing areas & parks! Even got to see the northern lights during our stay!

  Beautiful, spacious cabins. Wonderful hostess and always accommodating. The cabins are always so clean and inviting. We love the fact that we can fish and cook out fish the same day with the grill and smoker that is available for guests. The fire pit makes an awesome conversation piece to sit around and enjoy your fresh catch and tell stories while enjoying each other. They offer kayaks to explore their private lake. It's a great way to relax in the evenings and watch the sun set (somewhat) and watch the eagles fly over. An added bonus to these particular cabin/ hostess is that they are great at helping you get in as much of Alaska and all that she offers in your trip. From day cruises to see the glaciers, river fishing trips on the Kenia, deep sea fishing in Homer, and flyover day trips with Talon Air. They are a great resource. Highly recommend these places for a great Alaskan time!
