  We had a wonderful time at Orca Islands and highly recommend it. The Orca Island team was exceptional. They took care of everything with such compassion, with a lot of knowledge and love for the ocean and Alaska. Orca Island is as breathtaking in real life as it shows in the pictures on the website. While there, we caught fish, kayaked, hiked, paddle boarded, and saw many animals including bald eagles, puffins, kittiwakes, star fish, multiple humpback whales, sea otters, Steller sea lions, harbor seals, dall’s porpoises, and more! Thank you, Orca Island team!

  Went in early season (May 20-23, 2026) with 2 adult youngsters (ages 18-21). Stayed in 2 yurts - we were the only guests on the island for 3 days. In spite of cold temperatures at night and cool during the day - and raining 48 hours straight at one point (hail and snow too). The yurts and all facilities were warm, inviting and functioning (hot water, appliances). In spite of the weather, the "kids" partook of almost every activity available (except snorkeling!🤿) - kayaking, paddle boarding, hike to WW2 bunker and waterfalls, picnics in the beaches, fishing, s'mores and sitting around the warming pit in the mornings and evenings - all inclusive activities with the equipment provided! Remember, the daylight is long here! It was my second time at Orca Island - the first in July 2024 when the warmer weather was gorgeous! The price is worth every penny! If the price gives you pause, you will understand the value when you get to the island - boat ride to/from the island is also included in price. We will return again and again - as residents of Anchorage, Alaska! If you're on the fence about going to Orca Island, GO! Michele, Anchorage, AK

  Great experience disconnecting from the rest of the world. Beautiful scenery! Staff was amazing! We have never stayed in a yurt before so it definitely was a new experience for us and we loved every minute of it. Low tide, we saw lots of sea star on the rocks and several sea otters playing. We enjoyed the evening sitting by the fire pits visiting with the other guests. Would definitely recommend and go again!
