This 26 glacier site-seeing day tour was more than just a 5.25 hour cruise through Prince William Sound. The glaciers, mountains, and wildlife provided unmatched awe-inspiring views! The crew and captain of our catamaran were incredibly knowledgeable and well-versed in the history of the wildlife, wilderness, and historical moments that shaped the surrounding mountains, rivers, channels, lakes, fjords, and glaciers. While viewing one of the glaciers, we witnessed calving and even had the opportunity to hold large chunks of ice that were then floating in Prince William Sound. Supposedly, we later enjoyed margaritas made with glacier ice. Lunch was served on our tour, but it was NOT very tasty. We had a choice of salmon chowder or vegetarian chili. The kid’s meal was a hot dog! It’s sad to say, yet truthful, that I wish I had requested the hot dog! 🌭 On our particular cruise we were fortunate to see black-legged kittiwake, sea otters, stellar sea lions, and even a rare sighting of Sasquatch! We were repeatedly told that we visited in ‘the best week (2nd into 3rd week of August) this year’ as we experienced NO rain for 10 straight days. The only thing that would’ve made it better would be for us to have seen whales! 🐳 🐋

The most unforgettable and breathtaking part of our vacation in Alaska! It’s a perfect experience from the hot lunch, great seating, good variety of snacks and drinks, to the tour itself! The Captain was amazing!!! We went for the 5.5 hr 26 Glacier Cruise on 8/9 on a Sunday and thank God for the beautiful weather! Staff are so kind and helpful as well. Captain was very informative and have spotted all the incredible wildlife sightings including sea lions, harbor seals, bald eagles, otters, and more. And of course, the GLACIERS!!!!! It’s a must for everyone visiting Alaska. Spending time in Harvard Glacier is I think the highlight of them all. So mesmerizing to be up close and witness the calving live! Ahhhhh, can’t get over this cruise. Thank you so much Phillips Cruises!

Great excursion for visitors and locals alike. Prince William Sound is beautiful filled with wildlife and glaciers. This is one of the best values for tourist activities in the state and one I always put my out of state guests on to see the beauty of Alaska.

Very nice cruise by Phillips Cruises (edit: had incorrectly cited Major Marine, noted in response by Phillips Cruises) lasting 5 hours and 15 minutes in College Fjord off Whittier, Alaska. The first half was mostly spotting wildlife, including otters, sea lions, harbor seals, and several species of bird. And we saw a black bear. The second half was mostly admiring the glaciers, named after New England Ivy League universities. The highlight was Harvard Glacier, about four hundred feet high, per crew. The tiny calvings, where pieces disintegrated into the water, were interesting to watch. The boat, the “Bravest”, was large, but the viewing areas were very limited. We would have liked a window table, but were assigned a middle one. Passengers had to take turns standing at the railing, especially at the bow. Inclement weather kept many passengers in some of the time, but during good weather, it would be hard for all passengers to get a proper look at all the sights. The lunch, particularly the chowder, was especially good for a cruise. The crew was extremely gracious and helpful; perhaps that highlight of this trip.
