  The staff went out of their way to help in every way possible. Shy and her assistant on night shifts were very polite and helpful. Can’t remember the people’s name on days were helpful as well. Room was great. Breakfast was off the chain!!!!

  We had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Anchorage – Midtown. The hotel is modern, very clean, and offers spacious, comfortable rooms. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The location is convenient, with easy access to the airport and many attractions around Anchorage. The complimentary breakfast was good and offered a nice selection. However, it could be even better with a wider variety of fresh products, and the coffee could be improved. A quality espresso or cappuccino machine would make breakfast feel much more premium. Overall, this is an excellent hotel with great service, comfortable accommodations, and very good value for money. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Anchorage.

  Beds were comfortable but sheets a bit scratchy. Toilet ran every 5 minutes and was not great at night. Free breakfast was good but they bacon and sausage were very undercooked and not edible. Free laundry just bring detergent. Approximately $12 Lyft downtown. A few restaurants in walking distance. Good sized workout room.

  The services promised in this hotel is so lackluster that I don't remember another stay as bad as this. They say there is airport shuttle, yet one is not available even after repeated calling. First it supposed to run 24 hours, yet you wait hours for one with no show at the airport. We stayed 5 nights total. But there was no housekeeping service when we requested it on our 4th day. So we had to ask for extra towels at the end. Breakfast starts late and even then they can't open the door when it is time. The icing in the cake is, we checked in and signed papers and paid. 30 mins later we get called at the front desk, just to be told that we were not checked in and we were assigned a wrong room. So you spend another hour to short things out. Good that the other party of three did not demand the room back as they were provided a kind bed instead of two queens that they paid for. The only good thing we get in this hotel was they kept our extra luggage when we were out for few days. It seems the communication between staff is not there and there are many areas to improve. Especially if you are looking for the airport shuttle, remind them repeatedly to get it on time.
