  This hotel has a ton of potential and plenty of historic theme and character, which is a refreshing change from some of the soulless, modern chains out there. The building itself is quaint, and they have a really cool antique-looking bar that has been converted into the breakfast room. On the positive side, our room was clean and spacious. However, there were a few comfort issues to note. The room was very stuffy, and because there is no air conditioning, cooling it down was a challenge. Your only options are a dust-covered fan or opening the windows—but be careful if you open them, as there aren't any screens. Since it is "historic" and the nights tend to be on the cooler side anyway, it wasn't a total deal-breaker, but definitely something to keep in mind. My main gripe with this place is the sorry excuse for a breakfast. Their website advertises a "deluxe full buffet," but this was easily the absolute worst breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. It deserves zero stars if that was an option. They offered mini omelets, sausage patties, and potatoes, and you don’t have to be a Michelin star chef to immediately tell it was all microwaved. I hate to judge food just on looks, so I gave it a try, but the taste unfortunately matched the appearance. They also had a weird looking pancake machine and a toaster, but by that point, I was over it. I ended up throwing away my plate and going down the street for actual food. Honestly, I would have preferred they not serve breakfast at all if this is the product they are putting out. It’s a neat place with some character, but they seriously need to overhaul their breakfast or stop advertising it as a deluxe buffet.

  Very old. Not kept up. Rugs in the rooms smell dirty. Sheets were old and pilled. No air conditioning but had a fan in the room which was full of dust. Breakfast was included but the food was cold and few options. This could be a cute historical hotel if they put some money into renovations.

  The location is excellent; however, the cleanliness of the rooms leaves much to be desired. There was a lot of dust on the furniture, and the rooms are not well insulated between floors, so noise carries easily. The breakfast is very basic, and having some fresh fruit options would be appreciated. The staff are polite and friendly. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
