  So upon checking in with my company account which we always do I was asked to do a verification paperwork. Normally this isn’t a big deal since it’s only for incidentals but I was told the full amount would be charged to my card if not verified. After a long day of driving this was a lot to deal with. Finally we got past that hurdle we were given a room. We enter the room and roaches scatter. So I go downstairs and am given a new room. Later I order food and need water. The only water downstairs in a bottle is Members Mark water…. $2 a bottle for Walmart brand water…. I’m charged instead of just given the water bottle. If you’re going to charge that much for cheap water then you better put a better brand out. I would never have my company book me this hotel again.

  The staff, location, and overall hotel met expectations but unfortunately our room was not adequately cleaned and was humid. The front desk staff were helpful and polite. We requested an extra blanket for the sofa bed and were quickly accommodated. The breakfast had a variety of offerings and was kept clean and stocked. Our kids enjoyed the pool area which seemed clean. However the room was not up to expectations for a HI express. There was food residue in the mattress of the sofa bed, long dark hair on the counter in the bathroom, what looked like blood splatter on the side of one of the AC units (I informed the front desk). The entire room was uncomfortably humid and smelled musty. The removable ac filters were clean but it smells like both units need a professional cleaning.
