Arrived at 830pm on a Friday and restaurant was already closed. States on website they close at 9pm. Got all of our stuff up to our room and checked the bed sheets, they were not changed out. My husband went and asked for new sheets and an extra set for the fold out couch. Took 45 minutes and they gave us curtain like material to put down as fitted sheets after 45 minutes of waiting. The rooms and hotel are nice in appearance, but it is not well kept by staff in rooms. We went downstairs the next morning to get breakfast thinking it would be included since most hotels offer free breakfast. We learned that breakfast is only free for children 2-11 years old. It does not state on the website clearly that breakfast is NOT INCLUDED on website. I feel like the website description of hotel is not accurate. If you have a family and plan on staying at a hotel in Southlake, do not stay here for the inconvenience of no free breakfast. It’s $9.99 per individual over the age of “11” for “all you can eat” breakfast.

I’m a big IHG fan and stay with their brands as often as possible. Despite my company’s repeated warnings not to stay at this particular Holiday Inn, I decided to give it a try anyway. Let’s just say—they were right.
Before check-in, I received a message saying I’d been “upgraded.” The upgrade? The fourth floor. Nice gesture, but the room itself had carpet that looked worn and a bit dirty, and overall just didn’t feel well put together.
The elevators deserve a special mention—they seem to operate independently. If you want to get upstairs faster, you have to guess which one to call or press both buttons and hope for the best.
As a Platinum Elite member, I’m not someone who expects red-carpet treatment, but I do appreciate a simple bottle of water or a welcome acknowledgment. Neither happened here. In fact, the only water available was $6 a bottle—yes, six dollars—for something that’s two bucks everywhere else.
And if you do buy something at the front desk, don’t expect a receipt. They’ll happily charge it to your room but can’t print one out. So if you’re trying to expense that $6 water, good luck.
Check-in was equally uninspired—no information about amenities, breakfast, Wi-Fi, or anything else. The bed was comfortable and the room seemed clean, so if you’re just looking for a place to sleep under the IHG umbrella, this will do. But if you value service or convenience, consider another nearby option. And seriously—bring your own water.

Unfortunately I must say the experience was very disappointing. We had 15 rooms booked for our women's event. Our event room was not prepared the night before nor did the event mgr meet us Friday afternoon as promised for our event start time of 9 am Sat. The staff was very unhelpful for simple questions and could not locate a Manager to help. The event mgr arrived well after 8 am on the morning of our event. No air, no lights, no sound,no podium ,or media system set up as discussed. The cheap microphone set they brought in a new box was not charged ( had no power cord) and stopped working within the first 3 minutes. No chairs set up for our lunch . There was no staff present during the breakfast buffet. Business center computer and printer did not work. I found 2 separate staff members fully asleep at the front desk during regular hours of operation. They sent someone to check TV in my room that did not work. Changed batteries for remote but still did not work. That was "all they knew to try'. I cannot recommend staying or especially planning an event with them.

Seemed a little run down and or under managed. No shower soap, shower looked as if it was painted and it was peeling, bedside lights didn't work, floor felt it was mopped with some oil and fell on my ass walking into room. Breakfast was under whelming but otherwise ok for hotel. Customer service less than enthusiastic. This not my typical experience with Holiday Inn so I'm not sure this is one off for this location.
