Had a emergency come up that will result in my needing to cancel the reservation. On the site they did not offer a flexible rate, but the trip was an emergency so I had to take it. Now they are delaying that trip. I wanted to ask if it was possible to waive the cancellation fee, due to the unfortunate circumstances. Although I attempted many times to reach out to the front desk over the last few days. Every time I call it get the immediately put on hold or the call just drops. I understand that the nonflexible rate has a more rigid cancellation time, so if it wasn't possible it's okay I just thought I'd see my options but I never got that far. Even when reaching out to Diamond Elite support they could not reach the front desk. This is day three of trying to contact them. My complaint is mostly due to the neglect of the customers, especially being a diamond elite, I would expect at least the courtesy of an explanation. If it didn't work out in my favor, I'm fine with that but don't ignore guests. Honestly seems like a dodged bullet, if this location cares so little about current guests think how they treat potential guests. Just very unprofessional. I will stay far away from this place. Keep my $99, the fee is worth the audit on the location.

Smelled like straight weed everywhere. Elevators smells like a construction working coming off a 16 hour summer day. Room seemed clean but still felt filthy after walking to the room. I also couldn’t find the quarter slots on the bed anywhere. But I’m kinda glad I didn’t. It may have prevent that spring from stabbing my kidney.

ROACHES! This place is the absolute worst. The entrance isn't obvious so you circle the building to make sure that it was in fact the door that looks like a side entrance. Upon arrival the lady at the front greeted me and gave me my room on the 2nd floor. I booked the room that was wheelchair accessible because it had a drop down shower head for my daughter to use. The room she put me in was not what I booked and did not have the right shower. I went down stairs and she corrected it and moved me to room 104 on the first floor. We were happy at first until we finished unpacking and started using the place. The dishwasher had no power and was full with dirty dishes. I went to the front desk and she told me we had to latch it and it will turn on. It was not that type of dishwasher. There was no latch. So I was stuck hand washing the dishes we needed to use. We used the microwave for a quick meal and I noticed a tiny bug on the counter. I killed it and went on with my day thinking its just one tiny bug. An hour goes by and my son is in the bathroom. He yells there's a bug going under the bathroom door so I go to look and its a large roach. I tried to kill it, but it went into the baseboard. Right at that time my 6 year old daughter is laying in her bed and starts to scream bloody murder and cry. I run to her and there was a roach on her bed crawling across her. I tossed it to the floor and go to the kitchen counter for a napkin when I see a bunch of roaches crawling across the counter/sink and they were coming out from under the microwave. I go to the front office and tell the lady what's going on. She looks at the computer and tells me they are fully booked and I can check out if I don't want to sleep with them. I checked out and loaded up my truck to leave. She told me I was all good and that she refunded the visit. I used my Expedia points for that reservation and I never received a refund. Expedia has been calling the office to try to get ahold of the manager and they have not been able to. I want my refund and Expedia points back. This hotel has a no refund policy, but they also don't advertise sleeping with roaches and I know I didn't check that box as an add on option. They broke the contract by not providing us with livable/sanitary conditions and that makes their no refunds rule void. Do NOT go here and waste your money. Filthy place. Would have been cleaner at a motel 8.
This has now been reported to the Texas Health and Human Services as well. Turns out I'm not the only one on here that has had this problem. This has been a known issue with this hotel and they've haven't done anything to remedy this infestation.
Update: We finally got ahold of the manager and a full refund was issued.
