The bed was comfortable, and while the breakfast was just okay, it was free, which is a plus. I could not put my finger on the smell of the hotel when we entered, it was not smoke but it was not welcoming Unfortunately, the stay was overshadowed by issues with the shower. The water was cold the night of check-in and again the following morning. I contacted the front desk, and maintenance was sent, but nothing was resolved. I was told the hotel had used all the hot water early due to laundry, which was disappointing and inconvenient for guests. At checkout, I was informed the only compensation available was 1,000 points—and that was only after I asked. When I explained my concerns to the front desk staff, I felt largely ignored and was quickly checked out without much acknowledgment.

Dirty rooms, dirty sheets, no water pressure, air conditioning that barely works (rattles like an old car), the dirtiest carpets in Texas, absolutely disgusting bathroom (more caulk and silicone than I have ever seen in my life). That kind of sums up their corrective actions, just try and cover up everything that is wrong-don’t really fix anything. I am a silver member and have stayed here before-but this will definitely be the last time. Too many other better options. When looking at other reviews from the past 6 months the owner/management state they will look into the issues. After my night I decided that must be their quick reply with no follow through or fixes-disappointing.

It use to be holiday inn meant something and you knew you were going to have a good place to stay with a good meal. Not anymore. Won’t stay here again.
