Tell customers know that you need to run into the McDonald’s parking lot in order to get to the hotel directly behind it.

I booked because of the positive feedback, but I did not enjoy my time here. I had initially arrived to check in during my lunch break so I could leave things there and relax when I came back after work finished without worrying about unpacking. I was in a bit of a rush so I didn't realize the details. When I returned I noticed that under the blanket was a hair and some kind of fuzz from clothing. I inspected the top layer of the blanket and also noticed crumbs, kind of like a muffin of bread crumb all across the top of the bed. The staff was very accommodating and placed me in a new room down the hall, but this room had hair in the shower. Nothing crazy, just unnerving to see someone else's hair. The shower was also sticky when climbing inside but that could be from wear and tear. The mattresses were super comfortable though! Mini fridge kept my items very cold which I enjoyed. Be aware that there are limited channels on the TV and to my knowledge there was not an HDMI port for a fire stick of laptop connection so you may want to bring other forms of entertainment if needed. I had some issues with the internet but this could totally be from poor weather.
I'll also include that the walls are extremely thin, not at all an exaggeration. I got headaches from the person above me walking, the man behind me snoring, and when using the bathroom I could clearly hear him on the phone as if he was in the room with me.
Breakfast had a lovely spread with several options available. If you have any special dietary needs I could see it being vegetarian friendly but a guest with a gluten allergy and vegans would have a hard time.
The location is great, it's close to some of the key parts of temple and the drive is super easy! Despite paranoia that someone had been in my room despite the do not disturb sign on my door, I had spoken with the front desk girls about safety and they reassured me that there were security measures in place such as security cameras and locked doors at 12am. I feel it is extremely important i disclose that I typically enjoy staying at hotels like Drury Plaza in Richardson. Not a fancy place, but there is a bit of an expectation difference. If you don't mind minor cleanliness issues, need a place with a good location and free breakfast, and close proximity to locations that are highly frequented you will like staying here. Just sharing my experience to help someone else out. Not a terrible experience but it isn't one I would book again. Would be great for anyone needing accommodations in a pinch.

I really can't say enough good things about this Hampton Inn in Temple. We were there right Christmas -- and a family emergency occurred. Every staff member at the front desk was extremely helpful with our ever-changing schedule as our stay continued. We felt cared for in a way that was beyond "you're our customer" - I truly felt like we were cared for as they would have cared for a family member. Riley at the front desk was exceptionally helpful from the moment we stepped in the front door (plus she has a great sense of humor!)
The breakfast was amazing. I wish I could remember the women's names who were responsible for the food and the appearance of the area. They took pride in their work -- and it showed. Kudos!
The location and getting to the Inn is a bit wonky - but not going to take a star off for that!
Because of such a great experience at this Hampton Inn, I will be on the lookout for other Hampton Inns as we travel. We left with hugs from the staff -- I can't say "thank you" enough for your caring!
