HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Was waiting to hear from hotel manager, to see about making things right or at least try and make an attempt at it, but here we are 4 days later and I still haven't heard anything from anyone. So I guess I'll leave a review... Anyway, got to the hotel as it was just me and my two kids, just to find out that the pool is out of order. They had been asking all day if they could go swimming tonight and I promised them they could when we stopped at the hotel for the night. Well, that didn't happen as the clerk heard them asking about going swimming and told us that the pool was out of order. Now Ive got two disappointed kids but oh well, we managed. Later in the night after checking into our room and falling asleep, I wake up around 3:30am and use the flashlight on cellphone to check on my kids. Well low and behold, I see two bedbugs in the bed my son and I are sleeping in. I grab a piece of tissue and squeeze them, and they explode with blood. I then rush to the front desk with the tissue and the clerk (who was nice and trying to help) says she can only move us to another room, which was directly next to the room we were already in! I come back to the room and find more bugs on the bed my son and I were sleeping on, and the bed my daughter was sleeping on! I'm not feeling the most confident that they aren't in the new room either as it's directly next to the infested room. So at about 4:30am'ish, I shower my kids and we pack up and leave the hotel. If you are in the area of Sweetwater TX, I would highly suggest staying elsewhere unless you want to risk sleeping with bedbugs, and as in my case, having two kids being disappointed since the pool is out of order!

I booked 2 nights here and chose this property over others because it listed that it had a heated indoor pool. It was a Spring Break stay with my little grandson. Well, the pool was closed for repairs! It looked like it had been closed since last year. My grandson was extremely disappointed. Then, in our room, the Sheetrock by the tub was rotted out and it appeared like black mold! Under the rim of the toilet was black like mold or rust. And our key cards NEVER worked! We had to constantly go down to the front desk from our 3rd floor to get new keys. I stope to 4 other residents and they all were having the same issue with their keys. Extremely frustrating. The floor of the elevator was filthy and sticky. So we checked out the next morning and canceled the second night. They refused to refund me for that night! The breakfast was good. Very poor management and poor customer service.

Problem 1 Front doors do not operate. Person at the counter has to open them manually due to "sensor failure". Problem 2 Room is okay clean, hotel is okay clean, furniture and decor is worn and needing replacement. Problem 3 The elevator is very noisy, the tiles on the floor are cracked and broken, it shakes and pops going either direction. Problem 4 We went to breakfast at 8:30am, it closes at 9:30am. The coffee was cold, literally every food item was empty with the exception of the cold cereal. After waiting for about 20 minutes to see if anyone came to restock it, I went to the customer service counter. After waiting for 5-7 minutes for a representative to come to the counter, I called the hotel on my cellphone and a child, who appeared to be 8 or 9 years old, came out of the general manager's office. I asked her if anyone was around to help and she called someone on a cell phone. A representative came walking up from down the hallway and asked me if she could help. I explained that there's no breakfast. She said that she would get some from the back. At 9:35am, after breakfast is closed, the "continental breakfast" was restocked. Overall, this is hardly what I will call a good hotel. If you stay here, you better have very low expectations. It's a poorly maintained hotel that will keep you out of the elements, that's all. You should probably find a much less expensive place to go. It's definitely not a Holiday Inn Express experience.

Oh man, this was one of those experiences where everything went kinda wrong and we will laugh about it later but this place just isn't it. So many broken items in the place across the board. Elevator is super sketchy and you should take the stairs if you must stay here. Grimy, water and halls have a funky smell to them. AC unit didn't work great. Had a hard time catching any employees, there was an I've stepped away for 10 minutes sign that seems permanently fixed to the front desk counter. The lady was nice and helpful but still just a weird experience and I would highly recommend you stay anywhere else. Absolutely not worth the price paid to stay here.

Check-in was great. The person checking me in was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was dirty, tiles broken and moving and the elevator made a clunk noise that made me and 2 other people think we were about to be part of Final Destination. The rooms were clean but the mattress was thin and hard. Thankfully I still slept okay. The tile in the bathroom was missing chunks of grout and loose. Definitely a concern for water damage/mold underneath. The breakfast was subpar. I went down around 830 and there wast very much out. The pancake machine was down. The counters were absolutely disgusting. I decided to skip. The gym was so nasty. So many dumbells missing. I remember staying here last spring as was scared I would pick up a disease in the same gym. It is even worse now, so I didn’t even step into the room. The pool was so nasty. You would think they would cover the windows or dain it if it wasn't working. There weren't even signs up about it veing closed, which I am assuming it was due to the disgusting and low water. During check-out they misplaced my tax exempt form so I had to deal with that. That is fine, usual and I have come to expect it. I mentioned the person that checked me in had a lot going on so she may have accidentally placed it in the wrong spot. The employees (possibly manager or assistant manager) seemed annoyed but got it fixed. I mentioned the smoke alarm going off during check-in due to someone vaping in the back room. I thought it was someone staying at the hotel but due to the reaction of a guy behind the counter (not sure if he was an employee/friend of staff or what) I am guessing he was vaping in the back office and caused the alarm to go off. People left their rooms and the employee had to call the Fire Dept to let them know all was fine. The back parking lot is pitch black (no lights) and the back door lock was broken so people could come and go freely. Definitely didn't feel safe but had no choice but to park there. I definitely do not recommend this hotel. I travel all over for work so stay in hotels all over Texas. I will never stay at this location again.
