This hotel, a 4-story property, has not had functioning elevators for months! We are elderly and made the reservation explicitly stating 'first floor only'! We followed up the day before with BWH customer service. My wife was in contact with the hotel and BWH customer service about this. When we arrived, no first-floor rooms were available, forcing us to hobble to the second floor with the assistance of a hotel staff member. We saw and talked to others who were having significant issues. Our room was clean, but the refrigerator did not work, and it had to be replaced so that we could store some of our medications. The oce machine was empty on the 2nd floor. We were scheduled to stay for 2 nights, but we checked out early. Spoke to the GM about a discount relative to the first night and found her to be rigid on the $300+ rate. Disappointed and surprised with this BW+ Rating and lack of concern. . Followed

Gosh, if I could give this place a -5 stars, I would! The WORST experience I have ever had in a hotel. It was a horrible stay for a multitude of reasons. Prior to even arriving, the staff was blowing up my phone. I got 10 calls and 0 voicemails, and when I finally called back to see who it was, they were extremely rude to me. They said my card did not go through and they needed a new one, but I had a receipt from them showing I had paid in full a month prior when I booked. They said that was untrue (photo included showing they lied) and expected me to provide credit card details out loud while I was in a public place and told me if I did not do so, they would immediately cancel my room. I told them to send a credit authorization form instead (as is typical hotel procedure and should have been suggested by the agent), and they finally, but reluctantly agreed. Once I arrived the girl at the desk was hostile and rude and demeaning. As we walked up to the desk, the girl said "what do you want?" so I replied, "Hi, here to check in. I spoke to someone earlier and -" she cut me off to say. "Oh Ms. Waldrop. I heard allllll about you. Don't yell at me now". These comments made it clear the staff was talking shit about me prior to my arrival, though the issue was on their end, not mine. Throughout my entire stay I got hostile looks and remarks from the front desk team, this to only include Jasmine and the PM girl who looks like a mouse. I can't remember her name for the life of me, but I think she had glasses and long hair. Either way, both were horrible to work with. Then, I found bugs in my room and had housekeeping bothering me when I had a DND sign on my room. The day I was due to check out, I emailed the manager to complain about these issues, with photo evidence of the bugs, and the only thing she said back was " be nice to my staff". She said I lied about the repeated phone calls and double charge, even due to the photos provided. I have already started the process of escalating this matter to corporate since the manager, Sonia Olvera, clearly does not care about her guests experience or even know how to work in hospitality.

I made a reservation about 2 months out, upon arrival I was informed that the elevators were not functioning. I was also informed that my room was on the very top floor (4th). I asked could I arrange for a room on a lower floor and was told there were no availability. I asked could I be refunded. I was told that there would be no refunds due to this issue. Upon entering my room, the Directv service on the television keeps going in and out. I'm a doctoral student at Tarleton State University that travels to Stephenville for the past three years and have stayed at this hotel each visit. It looks like I will be making other arrangments for the duration of my studies, for graduation plans, and for future homecoming visits. Lastly, there is a awful smell in the stairwell and entering the first floor. Not sure what that is about. Definitely the worst experience I've had with this hotel.

I got a horrible experience with service! I’m traveling with a group and we got to the hotel at 6pm as soon as we got to the rooms I see that my sheets are dirty and I requested for them to be changed with which I got confirmation. Three hours later I came back to the hotel and checked my bed seeing it hasn’t been touched and went to talk to the receptionist again. She proceeded to tell me there is no one at shift and I’ll have to do it myself and there is no way she can switch my room. Have in mind I have a cast on my arm and can’t do anything with it but she said if I want clean sheets I’ll have to do it myself. And of course to top that for all those conversations I had to go up and down the stairs because neither the elevator nor the phone in the room were working.
