  Super new hotel in a great area. Easy to get on and off of 45, very close to the woodlands without being in the woodlands. The staff is top notch, front desk who checked me in (forgot name, but very nice lady who was on 04/09 at about 4pm) Was able to meet all of my needs whenever I had one. Everyone was courteous from the front desk, to housekeeping, even maintenance in the hallway said hello to me as I was leaving. I received the room type, location/floor & late check out I requested even being a first time IHG member for this stay. I was (am) an ambassador elite with Marriott until a very bad stay in Colorado, i will not return. Looking forward to building the same tenure with IGH. I do, however, have a few negatives about the hotel itself. Absolutely nothing to do with the staff. Number one, the mattresses and pillows are absolutely atrocious. I’m not sure which cardboard factory they got the mattresses from, But they should definitely send them back and get some money. I think I would have slept better in my truck. Second, absolutely no water pressure in the shower. I understand the aspect of wanting to conserve water, but when the shower takes three times as long because there is basically the bare minimum amount of water being produced it kind of defeats the purpose. The absolute worst part of this hotel are the hallways upstairs. I understand utility costs are high, But having the hallways above 80° in Houston, Texas humidity should be a criminal offense. The hallways are so hot. It did not make me want to do anything else on property except go directly to my room. I dreaded walking in because I knew from the second I hit the elevator to my room- It would be absolutely sweltering. Also, only one elevator was working- Not sure if that is an attempt at cost savings or if there was an issue with the second elevator. I never had to wait too long for the elevator to dispatch, but felt I should bring it up in the review- Could be annoying if you’re staying during a busier time. This will be my go to hotel when I’m in the Woodlands, Just please turn the AC on so I don’t sweat to death & please call tempur pedic :) love you bye

  My boyfriend and I were attending a wedding in the Woodlands. Our stay was originally supposed to be from Jan 21-23 but due to the winter storm, we thought it would be best to leave right after the reception on the 22nd back to Dallas. We arrived on the 21st late at night to check in. I asked the front desk if it was possible to have a late check out on the 22nd instead. While they did warn me that it depended on how long the cleaning staff could stay late until, they made sure to communicate with the day staff and keep us in the loop. The wedding wasn't until 3:35pm but the staff was willing to have us check out at 1:30 pm. I am very appreciative of the front desk and cleaning staff for helping us during a very stressful situation but they really eased the weight off my shoulders. Special kudos to Alysa! Thank you so much for your help! About the hotel, the room was very clean and the hot breakfast was very delicious. It got us to buy bagels, cream cheese, and jelly for our apartment haha! The gym was also clean and spacious for me to do floor workouts with a mat. Would love to come back here again whenever we travel to Houston.
