  Oh my goodness. The hotel is by a bar that doesn’t close until 2 am on the weekend. Which means loud music and no sleep. I called downstairs and was basically told nothing can be done. It’s terrible. No sleep.

  To be honest, we were a little skeptical about booking here after seeing some of the older, negative reviews. I’m so glad we decided to give it a chance because it was absolutely worth the money. You can tell the hotel has been recently remodeled; everything looks and feels brand new. The rooms were clean and modern, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The location is also super convenient—it sits right on the main street, and having the bus stand right outside made getting around incredibly easy. The highlight for us was definitely the breakfast. There were so many amazing options to choose from! If you're on the fence, definitely go for it. This place is a hidden gem now.

  Only the west end of the building has any kind of a view. Hilton had only recently acquired to property to convert to a Home2Suites, and it had only been open for about 5 weeks at the time of our stay. They were still working out some of the technology kinks with the room keys, both the app Digiatal Key and the physical key cards. Rooms are spacious.

  Great stay at Home2 Suites South Padre Island! The hotel is affordable, the rooms are spacious, and we loved having a balcony to relax on in the evenings. Good location close to the beach and restaurants, plus breakfast was a nice bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

  Overall, my stay was okay, but unfortunately it wasn’t as enjoyable as I had hoped it would be. There were several small but important details that were missing, and those details really make a difference when staying at a hotel. Cleanliness was also an issue during my stay, which made me feel uncomfortable at times and took away from the experience. One of the biggest concerns was with housekeeping. Housekeeping walked into my room (twice) while I was sleeping and, instead of immediately stepping out once they realized someone was inside, they stayed. That situation felt invasive and unprofessional, and it definitely disrupted my rest. Privacy is something guests should never have to worry about, and this was disappointing. That being said, I want to be very clear that my 5-star rating is entirely because of Chantel. Chantel was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to listen, followed up with a callback as promised, provided an upgrade, and was genuinely helpful throughout the process. She made me feel heard and cared for, which truly made a difference after the issues I experienced. Her professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help stood out in the best way. While the stay itself had room for improvement, Chantel’s service was exceptional, and she is the reason I’m leaving this review with appreciation despite the shortcomings. She was great and represents the level of service guests hope to receive.
