  Before I get started on my thoughts about the hotel, I must first say that this is in no way a resort! At least it is not like any other resort that I have stayed at. Sure it might have more than one pool and a "swim-up bar" that is not staffed every day and more than one restaurant (that is all served from the same kitchen). The rooms have tried to have been updated with paint, but the rust on the lampshade gives away the fact that this hotel is in need of some serious updates. In our room there was a fly stuck to the wall that someone had swatted. There was rust on the lampshade as mentioned previously, rust on the faucet on the sink and a hair dryer that was past it's prime. The stopper in the tub was also full of rust. There was work going on at the main entrance when we arrived which made it confusing as to where to go to check in. This was completed by our second night. The main entrance to the rooms was at another area that had an issue with the doors always being open and an alarm constantly going off. There was no lighting in the parking lot as well which caused alarm for our safety. If I were to vist St. Padre Island again, I would definitely go to Margaritaville for the safety and the comfort.

  The staff was great, the food was great but I would hardly call this a "resort or a four star hotel. My phone in the room did not work and was missing buttons. I thought there was something brown looked like poo on the lampshade on the nightstand but it was brown rust all over it. The towels and face towels were so rough definitely dollar store. The pools were not maintained very well. The couches in the lobby had stains and were dirty. Not worth the cost they charge My ocean view room cost extra plus a property fee and wasn't all that.

  Its fine. We went here instead of the holiday inn Resort. The resort seems nicer, although the reviews dont reflect it

  The hotel is in a safe area, which we really appreciated. The room was spacious, clean, and the A/C worked well. The bed was comfortable and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The beach was also within walking distance, which made things really convenient. The breakfast selection was good, but it would be nice to have more options for guests who don’t eat pork or beef—offering chicken sausage instead would be a great improvement. The only issue we experienced was with the electric vehicle charging stations. There are three chargers, but some guests left their cars plugged in all night and even during the day, making it hard for others to use them. It would be helpful if management monitored the charging and notified guests when their vehicle is fully charged so others get a turn. Overall, it was a nice stay with just a few areas that could be improved.

  The location is in a quiet area. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The hotel is older and In need of some deep cleaning. Unfortunately, next time I will skip this hotel.
