I gave this location a 4 star, because my last visit we had a room with double queen beds. The lamps close to the beds did not work. The ironing board was small hanging from closet clothes rod and would not stand up on a surface. I had to use it flat on the bed. I did like the easy check in with nice staff, the Dove products in the bathroom, the room was clean, the fitness room had great equipment and the continental breakfast had lots of variety to choose from.

The reason for the Service low is because of the Breakfast, I have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express throughout the United States, and there are 2 reasons why I always pick Holiday Inn Express, 1. For the Service and Rooms and 2. The Breakfast. This Holiday Inn presented very well and even though we had an ice storm here in the area. I still was under the impression that the Breakfast was going to hold up to the standards everyone expects from a Holiday Inn Express. The Breakfast selection was the worse, I have had the pleasure of tasting. Eggs were microwave omelets overcooked, and undercook sausage links. It was if no one cared about what was being presented to the guess. I was over disappointed and I did share this with many of my friends that asked how things was at the express. Sorry to be so blunt, but I wasn't impressed with this area of service and I truly didn't think it met the standards for a Holiday Inn Express. Thanks for reading my review and I do look forward to staying at other Holiday Inn Expresses, however this one was not a Holiday Inn Express for Breakfast.

For me this hotel has rooms that are what you would expect at this price point. I had a suite and while it wasn't extravagant it was very much sufficient for my needs. What is top notch is the service. Every staff member I came in contact with was friendly and willing to make my stay as comfortable as possible. If you get the chance to get on the good graces of Bruce you just might get to decide the menu for breakfast. I say this has been the best stay at hotel in awhile. Thank you Bruce and all staff for the Texas sized welcome.
