Exactly what you would expect from a solid Garden Inn. Kind staff, all the usual amenities, good enough breakfast. Details and beds were better than a usual Hilton.

Saturday 27 December at 10:00pm. Expedia, bookings, and hotels.com all say rooms are available and when I show up, I am told that there are no rooms available because they are all dirty and they have no housekeeping. I was also informed they were overbooked. Which should be reflected on multiple sites if that is the case. Sounds like poor management.

manager vasquez sifted through the room's trash cans after my stay. quite weird behavior! while on his short but sweet tirade, he then proceeded to rummage through the bathroom trashcan in an effort to try and justify his decision not to host a second night. Received much better hospitality at a nearby CAMBRIA. do not come here. very awful experience

TXST - Graduation My wife and I choose this hotel 2-year ago when our daughter first started her journey at TXST, and continued to make it our go-to choice every time we would visit because of the customer service and quality of the hotel. -Fast Forward to present- I reached out to inquire about booking a room block for family and friends attending our daughters graduation at which time I was connected with Madison Rodgers (Director in Sales). Madison and her team were exceptional from the time of setting up the room block months in advance and tailoring to our needs and following up as time got closer up to the day of arrival. The Hilton team made sure that my guest and I had everything we needed throughout our stay. I tried to book a party room to host after graduation dinner since we had the late graduation and no restaurants in the area could accommodate our large party so late but unfortunately they were booked at the time, Maddison suggested that we can use the large common area lobby as it is free to use for all guest, but what really stood out was that her and team put reserved signs on the tables so we could host our daughters dinner. Even going as far as lending us utensils to serve since we forgot to grab some. I truly can go on and on, but thank you to Madison and the Hilton team for making this weekend special for our daughter and her guests.

I stayed here before and had a great stay, so I didn't think twice when it was time to stay in San Marcos for an event. This time around there was a little more going on: The good: I came in around 11am and was told at first they didn't have a room ready for me, but the sweet girl at the front desk was able to get me something so I was able to quickly change and get ready for an event up at the college. I told her she really saved the day and I was most appreciative. Overall the customer service was great, and everyone at the desk was very nice. Parking was always nice, free and easy, and I always felt safe going in and out. Very clean beautiful rooms with comfortable beds. The not so good: - Even though I'm a Hilton Honors member I was told I'd have to pay for breakfast. While I was planning on joining family for breakfast somewhere else, it would've been nice to have even a muffin and cup of coffee - No business center! I had a work emergency and needed the use of a computer. I went downstairs and asked where the business center was and the young lady at the desk seemed confused as to why I'd need one. She asked if I needed a plane ticket printed, and I told her that I needed to work, and that's when I was told there wasn't anywhere available for me. I did ask out loud what was I paying a room rate for out of frustration, because even if it's rarely used by others, having it available is important. - THE NOISE!! I did see the sign when I walked in that there was construction, so having a 2nd floor room and hearing it wasn't particularly bothersome that afternoon. It was the next morning that was very frustrating. I had planned on "sleeping in" until about 10am since I'd had a long day/late night, and was loudly awoken at 9am by someone in the hallway in front of my room on a walkie talkie having the loudest conversation with someone, and then someone else joined him and they were speaking very loudly about something going on in the hotel. After that conversation ended, the cleaning crew started banging loudly and slamming doors. So, no sleeping in for me! I do understand that being on the 2nd floor cleaning needed to begin, but a little bit of quiet and no yelling in the hallways would have been appreciated. I hate to say it, but one of my family members was staying at another hotel with free breakfast, a business center easily accessible and quiet, so it looks like I won't be staying here again, which is sad, but overall items need to be thought of and taken care of so everyone can enjoy the stay they've paid for. If things like what I mentioned dont bother you I still recommend the hotel overall, it just isn't for me anymore.
