  I came this past weekend and was extremely not happy. I stayed Thurs to sun and woke up Fri to ask Mona very rude woman at the front for a razor and she said I had to buy it even though another employee later on said they have them for free. Then I asked Mona for maid service after 12 and she said I’m checking out. I told her no I’m not just arrived. I asked her if she wants me to leave and she said no. Then sat I came back to unmade beds but clean towels and the manager told the worker that either stuff was on floor or the do not disturb sign was on. Which neither was done on my end. Fri had great service sat maid service sucked and I did nothing different then Fri. I clean my room for the maid so I don’t think that is true. I think this rude women was behind it Mona. Then on sun I wrote a letter in an envelope for a guest. Just talked to him tonight and he said he never got it. I bet Mona threw it in the trash. I didn’t like the property no water in pool for kids. Everyone was nice except the woman during the day name Mona. All other employees are great but she is the bad apple of candlewood staff and from talking with others she always gets complaints. Please get rid of her. She is not right for hospitality service. Even though it’s a extended hotel shouldn’t matter. Also I felt like she was fake and trying to so hard to be nic see right threw her from the start. Also I’m a United States veteran that has stayed in the most expensive hotels everywhere to the lowest level of motels

  First Impressions are everything, met staff member Jenae, very professional The hotel offers a solid experience overall, with staff who are consistently professional and courteous, making check-in and interactions pleasant. The rooms are spacious and provide a comfortable layout, which is a definite plus for longer stays or families. However, cleanliness needs improvement. There were noticeable issues, including dirty silverware and clumps of hair on the floor, which took away from the overall comfort. Additionally, the beds appear worn and could use updating to enhance the quality of sleep. With better attention to housekeeping and room maintenance, this hotel has the potential to match the high standard set by its staff.

  Service is great the young lady at the front desk was nice very professional her name was jenae she's really good at her job will recommend all my friends who works on the road to stop by here love it thanks for a great experience

  The Candlewood Suites San Marcos offers a comfortable and practical stay with spacious, residential-style rooms that include full kitchens. Its location right off I-35 makes it incredibly convenient for visiting the nearby premium outlets or the Texas State University campus. It is an excellent choice if you prefer the flexibility of cooking your own meals and having extra space to relax during your trip.

  Overall very good stay, we enjoyed our room, stayed for a night visiting from out of town. It looked like there was a dance event in town and so all the rooms were booked making availability for towels and such were limited. But the staff were immensely warm and kind, welcoming, and helpful! Will be staying here again in the future. Nothing negative to say about this hotel and our stay.
