  The quick review. Stay away. Not because the property isn’t good and located, but the management is horrendous. I booked two nights for an anniversary, and wish we stayed elsewhere. Get to the room the refrigerator is frozen over needs to be replaced. Take a shower to find out that the intake cover for the exhaust fan is fully lint fired and you cannot shut the door or it’s total fog of steam. And the soap dispensers are having to be re-glued with double tape on the walls and they fall off. Yet that’s just the beginning! We were on a two day stay for an anniversary and certainly wanted service to our room and requested service to the room with a marker on the door however, when we returned to our room, the second day they only brought towels no floor sweep note emptying of trash, no and fresh sheets, especially. When I requested that evening to have service come and turn our bed with fresh sheets they said they would bring our sheets and allow us to change them. When I contacted the general manager the next day, he was extremely rude and I will post a link here to our conversation that I recorded. Unbelievable do not stay here.

  It took me a long to to figure out how I was going to phrase this: the staff were amazing and very helpful but the hotel itself was disgusting!! For the first leg of my trip I was on the 4th floor with the pool area right outside of my window the room smelled like chlorine the whole time I was there. There were all these splotches on the walls honestly if the bed hadn’t had a mattress cover I would have thought someone had been smashing bed bugs. I had already precooked my return so I was back for an additional 3 days. This room was worse the drop ceiling was being picked apart and there was a general ring of water damage. The bathroom was horrible at this point I would have changed hotels but it was spring break so there was nothing else available the vicinity. So let down, again staff were impeccable maybe just get some better maintenance people or more thorough cleaning crew.

  I recently stayed at the Riverwalk plaza hotel on their website the property looked like a charming boutique hotel , boy was I wrong! The only thing nice about this hotel was the young lady who checked me into my room. My room was dirty, old and falling apart hair in the bathroom stained sheets , trash in the hallway and dirty basically neglected and rundown. They did come up and clean clean my room for me while I was down at the restaurant. It took them 25 minutes to notice me another 25 minutes to bring me my drink order. The food arrived with no napkins and no silverware highly disappointed overall

  We arrived to find dirty sheets on a made bed, the guys that came to remake the bed were nice but unable to make the bed themselves so we did it ourselves, the blow dryer and lamp was broken, all the chairs at the pool were severely damaged, the pool was so cloudy you couldn’t see your knees, there was no shower liner so the floor got wet when you showered. They sent a message daily asking how they were doing but never responded. They refused to let us speak to a manager or do anything to accommodate. This is on the FAR side near the riverwalk. I will NEVER stay here again.

  I would like to have given a better rating, but there were some very apparent thing that should be addressed. It is an older hotel, however some care needs to be given to the upkeep. Simple things like deep cleaning the hallways, rooms and bathrooms would go a long way. Painting in the room and hallways would help as well. Overall, the hotel has a lot of potential, but it definitely needs a lot of care.
