Very disappointed with the front desk and follow through on their commitment to customer safety. Traveling with my 19 old daughter I left her in the room as I ran to the convenience 1000 feet away. While at the store I received a call from my daughter a family began to walk into the room with her in there. A dad’s worst nightmare that you feel your daughter is in a locked room safe but random people walk in (very lucky it was a young family). I came back and immediately spoke to the front desk, they were very apologetic of the event and stated he would comp the room and work with the manage to provide 25k points to right the wrong. 5 days later, still charged for the room and no point increase. They calmed the situation by providing failed commitments. The front desk person even advised the manager was aware of the event and would likely come and talk to me - again nothing. Thanks for calming anxiety with fake commits, disappointing Holiday Inn…

This Holiday Inn feels more like a slightly ran down Holiday Inn Express instead of a normal Holiday Inn. I enjoyed my stay here, but I can see where the negative reviews are coming from. Great location and plenty to do. I love the location of this hotel. The pros: My room was clean, and smelled great, but you can tell the room is slightly ran down. You get a small LG TV that is definitely outdated. The curtains in my room are slightly ripped. AC works great, I loved the AC. The bathroom was clean. I didn’t like the sink in the bathroom. The shower was good, but I wish they had a better showerhead. The microwave and fridge were good. The bed, comforters, and pillows were all comfortable. The desk was nice in the room, along with the drawers. Nice long mirror, good for business traveling. The couch in my room was awful. I don’t recommend the couch. The soundproofing could be better for the rooms. I could hear the person in the room next door snoring. The lobby is nice. The hallways are nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. The person that checked me in gave me his list of personal recommendations for what to do, what to check out, and what to eat. He highlighted his personal favorites, and all of his recommendations were fantastic. I needed to check out at 12pm instead of 11am because I had some work meetings and they were OK with that. WiFi is good. Breakfast is not free. This doesn’t impact me, but I’m shocked this type of hotel doesn’t have free breakfast. The washer and dryers are very nice. I washed my clothes and they were great washer and dryers. They even had detergent available for free. That was a nice touch. The app used to start the washer and dryers were nice. $3 for the washer. $3 for the dryer. If you are a new user to the app, you get your first washing cycle for free, so I ended up only paying $3 for the dryer which was nice. Overall, I would stay here again. Many of the hotels in the area are in similar condition, and at least this hotel is nicer than the other hotels in the area. The location is fantastic.

Great location but horrible rooms! Love the variety of restaurants and stores that were within 5 minutes of the hotel. But I’m more concerned about where I lay my head. I booked a 2 room suite with 2 queen beds with a pull out mattress. The pull out bed was horribly stained. The tub drained so slowly after a running a shower, the water would be up to your ankles. We moved to a downgraded accessible room and it wasn’t much better. The sink next to the microwave had something so gross in it even the maintenance man was disgusted. He said they would come back to snake the sink so it drain but they never did. I really needed that sink to clean out my baby’s bottles. I didn’t want his bottles to even touch the sink! They need some MAJOR plumbing done and to replace some of the gross, stained furniture.

Oh brother the check in guy was awful!!! I had a reservation and I am a rewards member. He asked to see my driver's license and credit card. He said there was a problem with my reservation. The name on my reservation didn't match my driver's license...I said what? I had my room reserved with my nickname Debbie...not my legal name Deborah???!!!??? I assured him it was me. Then he made me spell my given first name. The room was pretty clean. The curtains were open highlighting the bed...you could see shadows of the divers in the bed. The mattress in room 401 felt more like a box springs. It was worn out and hard. The curtain was so old it had a large hole shredded in it. The black out screen was sun rotted and torn up. There were 2 TV's in the suite but only 1 remote that worked. The phone in the room wasn't connected to the wall. All in all this room needs some love. Checking out I stopped to tell the desk about the problems in the room. The young man in the yellow t shirt really didn't want to hear it and after 3 year's I adked him if he would like to write them down and he said not really! San Antonio you have bad customer service.
