The room was alright but I booked two rooms through Hotel Engine and this place still charged my card when I arrived. I had Hotel Engine call them and correct the issue and no refund was given. I then called customer service and tried to get a refund that way and no refund was received. They basically stole money with the refusal to refund two rooms that I was double charged for. Would not recommend coming here.

It’s on a good location, but that’s probably the only positive. We checked in, went to the room and turned down the ac as it was pretty warm in the room, then we left for dinner. We came back and the room was still hot, the ac unit wasn’t working. Called front desk, and the lady was very understanding and she offered us to either provide a fan for the room or be moved to another room in a different floor.
As per parking, as it is in downtown and shown in the description of the hotel, parking is $20. The hotel itself has about 5-6 parking spaces only “available for diamond status” but make sure you’re driving a small car and one handicap space. Everyone else needs to park around the corner in a public paid parking with no security. At check in the provide a card for you to get in and out of the parking lot. Keep in mind it doesn’t have direct access to the hotel. When we checked out the girl said we needed the card to leave the parking lot and to come back and drop it off. That was pretty annoying. The hotel parking description doesn’t mention anything about using pubic parking.
Breakfast was not good. There’s barely any table space in the area so we had to take it to our room.

The entrance of the hotel looked like we were in the back of an alley. No one was helpful at the front desk. On the second day of our stay there were guests trying to get into an our room, the front desk assigned them our room number because the hotel had us as a no show. We had already been there for 24hours. When they tried to resolve the issue they wanted us to provide our credit card again. The only great thing about this hotel was the coffee bar.
The rooms were decent We had to call the front desk for garbage pick up or if we needed extra toilet paper or more towels. Housekeeping didn't come on their own. As we were told at the front desk they would come every other day.
The pool and the pool area were dirty.
Garbage everywhere. Patio furniture was filthy.

We had a fantastic experience at the Holiday Inn Express San Antonio North Riverwalk area. Andrea at the front desk was extremely helpful and welcoming—she really made us feel at home and was even able to hold our bags at the back since we got there early before check in. The location is perfect, just a few minutes’ walk to the Riverwalk, which made exploring downtown super easy. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to start the day right. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back! Very affordable too!
