  Stayed here for 2 nights, horrible experience. Do not recommend. Parking situation is horrible, the hotel does nothing to take responsibility. We got charged a parking fee, and were unavailable to find parking. Although I understand parking is first come first serve. The hotel refused to take the charge off. When we first arrived to the room the room was really small and not all what we had expected from the photos, our room was located in a weird secluded area. Definitely NOT the best hotel in the area. I’d think twice before booking a room here.

  If you just need a place to stay and don't care about appearance then this hotel does the job, it is an old hotel. The staff was nice too :) However, the breakfast was the exact same thing all week. Our room was so small! The pillows are so cheap your head sinks in. The housekeeping was terrible, the bathroom floor and sink were not clean. And the parking lot is not free. We got this hotel by accident because there's a other Holiday Inn with the same name a couple blocks away, we definitely learned our lesson to double check the addres 😅

  I would give this zero Stars if I could to start off had to pay a $250 deposit just cause our IDs say we live in San Antonio but the people in front of us only had a $25 deposit then we had to park off site cause there parking lot if you want to call it that is for diamond elite only and then i get to room and hair is all over the tube and they charged my card a extra 70 dollars

  Did not honor the diamond elite status for parking, they instead sold the lots to normal customers so diamond elite had to park around the corner. One lady working made everyone wait forever for service. Small parking lot blocked in customers and raised issues with getting in and out of the lot, witnessed one guest require front desk lady to call another guest to have them move so he could get out. Couldn't check into room because my name was not added on the reservation so I had to wait to get in even though every other holiday inn let's us check in online or with a picture of id. I ended up canceling reservation and just straight up left. Not a way to treat customers who stay at hotels every other night. 1/10

  Not the best Holiday Inn Express we have stayed in. While we knew it was an old jail, I was expecting a little bit better accommodations. We had a room with two queen beds. The beds themselves were great and the room was clean (except finding a dead cockroach in our room. When I mentioned it to the desk clerk the first time, she had a shocked look on her face and really didn't say much. When I mentioned it again upon check out she apologized and said it was probably one of those that come in from outside. How did it get inside?), but very dated. The room needs a little updating. The breakfast room area was nice and a good selection of breakfast items. The hotel itself is a short walk to the River Walk. However, there is offsite parking and really no place to park while checking in. Maybe two spots. Would we stay here again? Probably not. But for one night it served our needs.
