I informed the general manager of the infestation and he stated, "It's cold outside, the rats have to sleep somewhere". Totally disgusting!!!! I will never stay in a Best Western again!!!!! Filthy!!!!!! The general manager Roberto is a pathological liar. "The Best Western Plus Palo Alto Inn & Suites in San Antonio does not have a public, official policy regarding e-bikes in guest rooms mentioned in their online information. While some hotels are "bike-friendly", the specific rules about bringing bikes, especially e-bikes into guest rooms is not in any policy. Texas law does not prohibit nor recommend electric bicycles onto or in hotel property. There is no reason for me to inform any hotel staff about an electric bicycle in my room, especially after the hotel STOLE my money. Your specific hotel has literally NO POLICY against electric bicycles. Correct, the hot water was not operational either. Apparently the swarms of rats running rampant used all the hot water; perhaps you should correct your lack of hot water, swarms of rats and bicycle policy instead of fabricating stories in a desperate attempt to make yourself look good. Have a nice day and try to avoid being bitten by a rabies infested rat.

Other hotels in the area we have stayed at are not as nice as this. They also offer free breakfast with coffee which is a plus. They also have an indoor pool and workout area. There is also a Jack in the box and a gas station with snacks just next door walking distance.

However, we were not able to sleep due to a persistent beeping sound that went off every 49 seconds throughout the night. In addition, we didn’t realize until the morning that the bathroom had no shower curtain, which made showering inconvenient. The exercise room was also open, but unfortunately none of the equipment was working. I recommend that guests double-check their room upon arrival, and I kindly suggest that hotel staff ensure rooms and amenities are fully inspected before being assigned or opened for use. Small details like these greatly impact the overall experience.
