Rooms were really dirty, there was not hand soap provided so we had to use shampoo or a facial bar, the hot tub was broken, the pool floors were really slippery and my children slipped and fell multiple times just walking, the room kept getting really humid, AND THERE WERE ROACHES IN THE BED! We came across 3 roaches during our stay, a small one on the floor, a baby one in the bathroom, and another baby one IN THE BED!
Therefore deserves one star because that is just foul and unacceptable.

I booked this location for my son's BMT graduation at Lackland. The location is super convenient for easily getting into the Valley Hi gate of the base. People warn about security near base but we felt completely safe here. The parking lot is well lit and the hotel itself is next to a park and a residential area, right off the 410/Crooked Trail, making accessing the base and nearby establishments easy with 2 ways of traveling.
They offer a hot breakfast bar every morning and on Wednesday and Thursday they start it early at 5:30am for those traveling to graduation, or you can ask the front desk for a bag breakfast to go consisting of a fruit, granola bar and small water if leaving before service starts. The breakfast spread is a good variety and tastes great. There's also a waffle iron, 24/7 coffee and hot tea bar in the lobby, a small convenience stand for snacks, laundry items and other items that can be charged to your room.
There's a hot tub and pool, both of which were open when we stayed(2/3/26-2/6/26) and are open til 10pm. There is also a gym.
The rooms are spacious enough with a microwave and small fridge in each room. The mattress and pillows were super comfy and clean. The rooms do have some normal wear and tear but that's to be expected with the amount of turnover every week at the base for weekly graduations and isn't anything of concern. Every employee we interacted with was very friendly and helpful and if heading to graduation, they give you a 2 page packet with all kinds of helpful information for getting on base, frequent questions and even a highlighted map of routes to get on base.
Local delivery services like Uber and door dash can deliver here as well. There's a gas station, Marco's Pizza and a Dollar General within 5 minutes and just right up the road on Valley Hi Road are tons of food, shopping, gas, a Gold's gym, etc.
I highly recommend staying here. The price, convenience, hospitality, location and overall experience was worth every penny.

Stayed March 4–7 | Room 201
We stayed here for my daughter’s Air Force BMT graduation at Lackland, so this review comes from a proud (and very tired) mom’s perspective.
Pros first, because there are some good ones: The hotel itself is really nice—beautiful lobby, clean overall, and it smelled fresh the entire stay. No sticky carpets or sketchy vibes, which I very much appreciate. The showers were HOT with excellent water pressure (10/10 after long graduation days). Breakfast was genuinely amazing—probably one of the better hotel breakfasts we’ve had. The location is super close to Lackland, with a Walmart and a few fast-food spots nearby. They also gave us a printed graduation schedule for Lackland, which was thoughtful and helpful.
Now for the cons (aka where things got interesting): The beds are advertised as queens, but they felt more like wide twins… though I admit I may be spoiled by my presidential king at home. The pool was out of order, which led to a very disappointed 7-year-old. The fire alarm beeped constantly during our stay and woke my baby every few minutes the first two nights (that part was rough).
The elevator liked to play games—you had to re-press buttons or it would just give up. Our room had absolutely zero view unless you count a block wall, but the window opened fully, so… partial win? One of the end tables was wobbly enough that the lamp nearly went down twice, and there weren’t nearly enough outlets near the beds.
Overall: Clean, comfortable enough, and very convenient for Lackland—just a few maintenance issues that kept it from being a smooth stay. I’d give it a solid 3 stars. With a little TLC, it could easily be a 4.
