I booked this hotel because they said it had room service. No menu in the room and no way to call room service. I called the front desk and was told they did not have room service. When I checked out, the lady at the front desk said they did have room service and apologized that we were told something else. Instead of going down stairs to eat the breakfast that they had available to purchase, we spent our money somewhere else.

We also found a device in the room that is used to collect moisture from the air, telling me there was a leak at some point. The window was locked shut with a screw so we couldn't even open the window to air the room out a bit. It was a terrible smell for the entirety of our stay. Besides that, the hotel is nice and in a convenient area to get to the Convention Centre and to downtown San Antonio. The rooms are decent sized. When we arrived, the front desk clerk seemed more concerned with watching her phone than checking us in and kept trying to overcharge me because she couldn't see that I had already pre-paid on Expedia. The front desk staff at check-out was very nice and attentive and let us leave our bags for a few hours before we needed to go to the airport.

Our great experience started with the AWESOME valet, Avion—he stayed on top of everything, and our vehicle was always ready on time. He was very respectful and professional. The night-shift front desk associate during Thanksgiving break was also amazing—friendly, kind, professional, and always on top of whatever we needed. Vivian was another great front desk team member who answered all of our questions and made sure we were fully taken care of. The food and beverage manager, Rosann, definitely picked the right people for the bar and the Speakeasy—the food and drinks were excellent! Everyone we encountered was fantastic. No Vacancy is definitely worth visiting at the hotel. Grown folks environment. We loved every minute. The saxophonist was great. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner, and now I see why this place is run so well. He is an awesome and caring person—just a genuinely great guy. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back!
