We have stayed at this hotel in December for thr last couple of years. This year, they have completed some room upgrades, and they are wonderful! Staff is always so accommodating and kind.

I made a reservation months ago. I called customer service about a month before asking to make a note that we had 4 people and could not be bumped down to a king (because Holiday Inn did this to me before). The manager called two days before my arrival saying she couldn’t honor my reservation for 2 queens and could only give me a king. She acknowledged that she could see my note. I told her to ask someone who booked later to move because I had a very early booking and we had 4 people. She said that’s what she was doing. But come to find out, other people in my group who booked after us still got their rooms AND they had less people. I was the one who told everyone to book at the Holiday Inn in the first place. So the manager lied. I wouldn’t have posted a review if I hadn’t found out about the lying. That really bothered me. The right thing to do would have been to offer us two king rooms for the price of our 2 queen reservation since we had four people. Instead we were left scrambling for another hotel room just 2 days before our event. What is the purpose of a reservation? And if you can’t keep it, make it right! I am trying to stick with Holiday Inn when we travel but now you have screwed me over twice.

It has overall been an okay experience; the pool is clean, the staff is moderately friendly, but I have one major complaint. The property currently is remodeling their third floor. The company they hired to complete the renovation must also be under the impression that the free continental breakfast is for them. Breakfast is from 7 am to 10 am Sat and Sun. When I came down with my kid at 8 am on Saturday, we had to wait behind 3 of the contractors to get food. They came down from the 3rd floor when the elevator picked us up on the 2nd, so this is how I know they were not just other guests. It was agitating to the point where even 8 hours later, I cant let it go. I don't mind the contractors eat off the hotels dime, but the continental buffet is for staying guests. Could they have allowed us to go first before picking the biscuits, cinnamon rolls, and bacon clean. The hotel could habe offered to make the team a mini buffet in another area. It was unprofessional, rude, and inconsiderate.

Bed Bugs? No. I woke up to thousands of ants in my suitcase. Response was I must of had something in my suitcase. I requested one or the other: clean my clothes and suitcase and send it to me or give me a refund for the night. They said they can't but the truth is they won't.
