- EWEmrys WilliamsFeb 10, 20262.0Well, I booked a two queen room and they put me in a single king handicap accessible room. That takes away from someone who may actually need that room. I myself am not handicapped. The safety latch was just there, nothing to attach to. The fan didn't even work. And they didn't pay attention to any of my IHG preferences. Didn't welcome me as an IHG member or acknowledge my level of membership. Breakfast was well overcooked. And staff barely said a word to me. Very disappointing overall. Better places to stay about 5 to 10 minutes away.

This year I celebrated Christmas season eating Port Arthur seafood, grilled and barbecue, and of course boudain. The young lady (Diana) at the front desk was energetic, motivated, hospital, and everything else in the description of great customer service. Fortunately, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the hospitality staff of (Karla and Mirian). Lastly, as well, the manager who's name I failed to obtain however, I saw her there during the thick of the holiday season just chatting it up, and uplifting her staff to stay motivated and providing great customer service though, working thru the holidays. In whole, the individuals I mentioned provided great customer service and made my trip a great experience and wonderful Christmas in Port Arthur, Texas aka my hometown. I can't visit my old childhood home anymore because it was demolished. My old Thomas Jefferson high school is not demolished but, it isn't the same as it was in my final graduating year of 1979. But, this little hotel still gives that old PA, small oil town, genuine, quality customer service without the fancy French titles of the people that provide those services. Thank you Holiday Inn Express staff for a wonderful stay and holiday season at home. Best to you all. Collins Harper.
