At around 3:35 AM, my party was suddenly disturbed by a loud knock at the door. A staff member named Angela said she needed to check for a leak. One of my guests was in the shower, and we politely asked her to wait just a couple of minutes. Once she came in, she claimed she might need to return later. Out of concern, I went downstairs to see the damage she mentioned. The entire business center had visible water damage coming from the ceiling near the sprinkler system, which clearly had nothing to do with my room. When I tried to discuss this with the staff, I was met with disrespect and rude behavior. Angela made unnecessary side comments, and when I asked to speak with a manager, I was connected with Wally, the General Manager, who was even more dismissive and unprofessional. When I asked for higher-level management information to escalate the issue, Wally chose instead to call the police and forcefully end my stay at 4:30 AM. I was left with no choice but to drive an hour to San Antonio in the middle of the night to find another hotel. This type of treatment is completely unacceptable for a Hilton property. I was not only disrespected as a guest but also left stranded without accommodations because of how poorly the staff handled the situation. I would strongly caution others to reconsider staying here until management and customer service are drastically improved.
