I had an exceptional experience at the Holiday Inn Express Ozona—honestly one of the most genuine displays of hospitality I’ve ever witnessed.
When I first arrived, a couple ahead of me was checking in. The receptionist went above and beyond to help them find a good rate, and when the woman became emotional (it sounded like she had just lost someone close), the receptionist stepped out from behind the desk, gave her a hug, and offered kind, encouraging words. It was such a raw, human moment—something you don’t often see, and it really set the tone for my stay.
When it was my turn, I was warmly welcomed and thanked for being an IHG member. Check-in was quick and smooth, and the same level of care and professionalism continued as she helped other guests. I truly wish I had gotten her name—she was outstanding.
The room itself was exactly what I’ve come to expect from Holiday Inn Express: clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. I had a great night’s sleep, and everything—from the shower to the bathroom—was spotless and well-maintained.
One detail I appreciated was that the breakfast menu was posted at the front desk the night before—a small touch that made a big difference. Breakfast itself exceeded expectations, and during that time I saw multiple staff members actively engaging with guests—checking in, offering help, and making everyone feel welcome, almost like guests in their own home.
I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and its management. The level of care, attention, and genuine hospitality here is rare and incredibly refreshing in today’s world.
Great job, Holiday Inn Express in Ozona—you’ve truly nailed what it means to be in hospitality.
