Room smelled extremely musty and felt wet. Front desk did not care at all when brought to their attention. Close off highway made it convenient.

The room smelled like a gym locker, and when I mentioned it, a staff member claimed it was because the hotel is “close to the water” — even though the nearest beach is about 150 miles away. There was also a dehumidifier running in the room, which they said was common practice. I’ve stayed in many hotels and have never encountered that before. When I raised my concerns, the manager seemed offended rather than interested in resolving the issue. It’s disappointing, especially since it seems other guests have complained about similar problems in the past. I’ve stayed on the water many times before. Not once have I experienced mold/mildew before. They moved me to another room, but it also had a dehumidifier, and this one wasn’t clean — several things were broken, and the odor remained. I cleaned the dirty filter that was on the back of the dehumidifier. Shower had female hair on the walls. Would never stay here again. Pay attention to the response from the manager. He will basically call you a liar and say that his hotel smells fine. Just like I expected. Dude, that hotel smells like mold and mildew. There’s nothing preventative about it. The problem is there already. Funny how you’re the only business in Luling that seems to have this problem. So instead of acknowledging that there is an ongoing issue and telling us that you’re going to work on a solution, you simply ignore it. You must be delusional, or you are missing your nose. I stay at many hotels throughout the year and this is the ONLY one that is in this bad of shape. How it’s still open is beyond me. It’s disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself. But you’re not. It’s called being a narcissist. If you don’t know what that is, I suggest use Google.
