  The rooms were in good shape. Not the most clean hotel I've ever stayed in but not dirty. The breakfast was really nice.

  I stayed there 2 nights, this past Christmas eve and Christmas day, one issue i had was there were a couple of roaches crawling around the microwave area, and the second issue was my 9 month old had a small accident in the bed and I requested could the sheet be changed as I was headed out to visit family. The receptionist nonchalantly handed me a sheet, showed zero concerns about both issues with room. I was very disappointed. Not sure I'll stay there again.

  I absolutely love staying here! I have been back and forth to Lufkin over the last month and a half and I have stayed at Hilton and Best Western. This Best Western has the most friendly staff I have ever experienced at a hotel. Every single person has a smile on their face every time I come across them. While the hotel is probably at least 20 years old, it is always clean and it always smells fresh. The TV in the room is upgraded and you can use streaming accounts and you don't have to watch that outdated standard hotel viewing that is full of commercials.The pool is sparkling and the parking lot seems safe. There are three restaurants that back up to the parking lot that are all good. The breakfast in the morning is better than most hotels, especially since it is served with a smiling face! My favorite is the coffee on demand in the lobby where you can get a cappuccino, and espresso, or just regular coffee decaf or not anytime of the day. They also have a freshwater dispenser right next to the coffee dispenser. Absolute five star in my book!

  This was one of the nicest Best Westerns that I have been to. Good service. Great breakfast with variety of food. Very nice room. Great location, you are in walking distance of restaurants.

  If you’re going to read a review before booking, let it be this one. Let me start by saying we specifically chose this hotel because of all the reviews talking about how clean it was. After driving eight hours, the only thing we wanted was a clean room. Instead, we walked into a room with coffee splattered on the walls, floors that clearly hadn’t been vacuumed, and more issues I won’t even list here. We immediately went to the front desk, and to their credit, they moved us to another room. Okay, great. Except the second room was just as bad. There was hair everywhere (not just a stray piece or two), rips in the sheets, and Zyn pouches under the bed. I have photo proof of all of this. So back to the front desk we went. I want to be very clear here: the front desk employee, John (I believe), was wonderful. He was apologetic, tried to help, and even discounted our room about $40. He handled the situation the best he could, and I truly appreciate that. I then asked to leave my number for the manager. John wrote it down and said the manager would call or text us. They never did. Not even a peep. I don’t usually complain, and I can overlook a lot, but I didn’t feel comfortable walking barefoot in our room, much less sleeping in the bed. If management had reached out and attempted to resolve this, I wouldn’t be posting this review. But they didn’t — and that tells me everything I need to know. So please, if you want somewhere clean to stay, trust me… don’t stay here. The only positives were John’s customer service and the excellent water pressure — everything else was a huge disappointment.
