  I would not stay here. The room was littered with dead cockroaches and water bugs and when I asked the front desk if they could send house cleaning over to help me sweep and vacuum the room, the front end person said the best they can do was Monday.

  The hotel outside is nice and the room was nice. The TV wouldn't come on so we gave up on that until about an hour later it finally turned on. The door on the east side of the building has a broken handle(5 months later no repair still) and the area is full of bird poop. The balcony outside the window is not good to view out of the railings are full of bird poop also. The lights outside are keeping you awake all night as they shine right through the windows and there are not long enough curtain rods to block it out. All I'm all the outside of the building needs a good steam cleaning. The pigeons are friendly but just walking inside you don't know if you were hit or not as they sit on the ledges above the entrance doors.

  I have never previously left a negative review for a hotel. We stayed here 28-29 March. I woke up in the morning with bites. Given information found online they look like bedbug bites. When I reported that I had been bitten as we checked out on the 29th, the clerk did not seem concerned. She said that she would check to see IF they could have someone check the room. There are plenty of other comparable hotels in Lubbock to choose from. I won’t stay at this one again.

  The suite was EXACTLY WHAT OUR FAMILY NEEDED. The 4 teens/preteens had their own room and my husband and I had ours. Warm water, clean towels and sheets, and comfortable beds. We all got the sleep we needed. 11yo said "sweet!" when we walked in and I said, "Suite." She then said, "I could live here!" Breakfast was good and the host was kind when one of my kids spilt some waffle batter. Everyone was kind, just as I expect when I come to Lubbock.

  Great location, especially for breaking up a long west Texas drive. When my wife stepped into the room, her reaction was, "Oh wow!" Breakfast was excellent. I called right after making the reservation to see if I could snag a handicap room. (I have a degenerative muscle disease and after 11 days at the niece's house with a toddler and a 7-year old, my legs were weak and I could really benefit from grab bars in the bathroom.) Debbie dug deep trying but they were full and there was no way to switch things around. Considering the time and effort she spent with me, I thought I was talking to the GM at the time. I met her when we checked out - she's a front desk clerk. Perhaps she's promotion material? Hmm...
