Reservation at Hilton Garden Inn
On January 2, 2026, we encountered a delay in check-in until 3:00 PM. We comprehended the situation and proceeded with the check-in using the voucher that was valid until June. The manager at the time was unfamiliar with the voucher’s usage and assured us that she would provide instructions by Monday. We provided her with ample time to respond, and she did so promptly.
The room was immaculate. The day was otherwise flawless, except for the morning when we attempted to have breakfast. One of the residents descended with two large dogs, one of which was on the leash. The other dog was not, and he directly approached me, placing his nose on me while I was seated in the dining area. This incident prompted me to exclaim, “Get your dog!” Consequently, I was unable to continue eating due to my severe allergies and we don’t have dogs.
I strongly recommend posting a message for residents who have dogs to ensure that they are kept on a leash. Additionally, it is important to note that dogs are not permitted in the dining area where we dine. This incident significantly impacted my enjoyment of breakfast, as I was unable to fully appreciate the meal.

Hilton has always been one of my preferred hotel brands, but this particular property felt like one on the verge of closing down. I’d like to share my recent stay experience honestly, in the hope that it may serve as a reference for fellow travellers.
1 The bathroom was outdated and unfortunately far from clean, with hot water coming out as little more than a trickle. Showering was quite unpleasant.
2 There was no heating in the bathroom, making it uncomfortably cold during a shower. Additionally, there was no exhaust fan.
3 The toilet flush produced an extraordinarily loud, almost monstrous roaring sound that I worry could easily disturb other guests.
4 The low-quality bedsheets generated constant static electricity; every movement created crackling noises, and when pulling back the sheets in the dark, the static sparks were surprisingly bright and startling.
5 The swimming pool shown in the promotional photos does not exist. Many of the attractive images on the website bear little resemblance to the actual interior and facilities.
6 Sound insulation was very poor; footsteps from the room above were clearly audible and often woke me up during the night.
7 No breakfast is provided. The hotel offers a maximum of two complimentary bottles of water per stay; any additional bottles must be purchased.
Overall, this stay fell well below the standards I have come to expect from Hilton, and I would advise travellers to consider other options.

I’ve stayed at this hotel when visiting Lubbock since COVID around 2020 and loved this place until recently. I went on November 15, 2025 and It had been about 7 months since my last stay. The front desk staff were very nice. I always choose this hotel because it’s close to a shopping center.
I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room/hotel. Since I’ve stayed here before, I knew they did not clean the room each day and that it must be requested which I did. The hotel lobby floors were covered in spatters of substances that were dried and “sticky”. Throughout my few days there this did not change although wet floor signs would be put up.
The room I stayed in had wallpaper peeling off the walls, and mold around the tub. My bedskirt had a ring left on from some type of fluid from previous residents. The floor was not vacuumed and had crumbs on it. The ceiling had splatters of something on it in 2 different places of the room.
They did come and make the beds each day and leave new towels but the sheets were not changed in the 3-4 days either. This was just different from my previous experiences and was not as clean as my prior encounters. Unfortunately I think I’m going to have to find a new hotel to stay out for future visits.
Hotel is clean and rooms feel modern. Great staff and Ashton made our visit perfect and we will definitely stay here again. Great drinks at the bar as well courtesy of Natasha. Thank you to the whole crew!
Absolutely Outstanding Stay – The Best on Our Entire Road Trip!
From the very first moment we arrived at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lubbock, we were welcomed with genuine kindness at the reception. As Diamond members, we really appreciated the dedicated parking close to the entrance — such a thoughtful touch!
Despite the evening rush and the fact that the cook was working alone, the service was incredibly fast and efficient. Our dinner was simply perfect: the burger was cooked exactly as ordered, the salad was fresh with high-quality ingredients, and the flatbread was loaded generously with toppings. Nothing was spared, everything was delicious, and the entire meal was flawless.
Although the absence of a pool is a small downside, we can honestly say that nowhere else on our long road trip did we receive service as attentive as here. The handwritten, personalized birthday greeting was an especially heartwarming surprise — not even other Hilton or Conrad properties offered such a thoughtful gesture. I truly recommend that every GM from Los Angeles to Las Vegas learn from this hotel!
Thank you for doing your work with such dedication — small gestures truly made our day shine. The entire staff worked with kindness, precision, and remarkable speed. I was happy to thank the cook personally for the wonderful dinner, but I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone: the housekeeping team, the two receptionists (late and morning), and the two servers (dinner and bfast). Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, smiling, and professional. Even the team working behind the scenes contributed to making our stay unforgettable.
Out of the 18 Hilton properties we visited during our trip, this was by far the best experience — even better than some Conrad or main Hilton locations.
Thank you so much to the whole team for making our stay truly memorable! Really appreciated!!! 🥰
