I often choose Embassy Suites when I travel, due to great rooms at a reasonable price and great breakfast at almost every location. However I cannot recommend the Embassy Suites in Lubbock. The hotel is run down, very outdated, and not cleaned to the standards of their other hotels. There were broken liquor and beer bottles throughout the parking lot. I thought perhaps their breakfast would redeem them, but it was also very poor quality and the eating area was not cleaned. We chose to eat breakfast elsewhere. This was the weekend before Thanksgiving 2025.

I am going to have to give a 1 star, sadly. I thought spending New Years with my family at the Embassy in Lubbock was going to be soooo much fun, but it was not. The pool and hot tub and room it was in were freezing on top of being completely filthy. I could not let my daughter swim due to the filthiness. Then, as we got settled into our room, one of our pillows had literal blood on it. I told the front desk, they came and grabbed it without an apology or anything and also never replaced the bloody pillow. Then, we’re in our room relaxing, eating dinner when 2 embassy employees barged into our room. They seemed to be under the influence of something, thought it was absolutely hilarious that they just came into our room like that, no knock or anything, they had used their master key to come in. My daughter is 5 and has autism. She was absolutely TERRIFIED that 2 strangers just came into our room! The man at the front desk had allllll the excuses in the book for those 2 employees then reassured it would not happen again. 8 minutes later, one of the 2 employees came into our room AGAIN! Terrifying my daughter AGAIN!!! We received more excuses for the employees behavior and they brushed it off their shoulders. And now, about a week later, and we’re all coming out positive with Covid. I have included a picture of the pillow with blood and one of our swim shirts after getting out of both the pool and hot tub. I am making this post because the Embassy in Lubbock has always been so nice, really relaxing, family oriented, and with friendly employees that love what they do. I’m not sure what’s going on now, but this was our experience during our stay to bring in the year 2026.

Horrible staff the place was ok still not renovated enough . I asked for a renovated room 2 months ago. I was not given the room I request. I also had two rooms only one of the rooms was ready on time and the other I had wait for 2 1/2 hours because they said they were so book d the night before they didn't have time to clean both rooms only one. So I didn't get to get ready until 6 pm my event started at 7. I was told they would call me when the other room was ready. I never got a call. I had to finally go to the front desk where I was told it still wasnt ready. I let them know I had been waiting almost 3 hours and then she checked and it was ready they just never called me or made me a priority at all. I really needed to get into that room too set up for a special event and was not able to which basically ruined that part of the surprise. I then asked for a complimentary late check out for the inconvenience and was told absolutely not. I then tried to enjoy the Happy hour and was told by Roberta that my blue Hawaiian which she had already been serving to other guests was not on happy hour. I don't see how not seeing that she had already served many to others and then I asked her and she told me not anymore and then told me and everyone else everyone else that nothing was really on happy hour but the really cheap stuff. Which was super unprofessional. You could tell she hated her job and was miserable. She should not have been working the bar at all with that attitude. I then tried to enjoy the pool and hot tub where I was not able to because it was so nasty I didn't even get to use it. It smell ed Horrible in there and has things floating in the pool. Horrible service the manager must be horrible in order for it to be run like this. I have stayed before and have never seen or had a worse experience than this one.

Old hotel with roaches, a/c doesn’t work properly, our room felt like a sauna all night. Hotel needs MAJOR updates & a DEEP extermination. This is supposed be a “nice” hotel, yet its roach infested.
