Staying in a 2nd floor room that faces the open courtyard bar area which is definitely not quite, I wouldn't expect it to be. I would expect the rooms to be more sound proof. Beautiful hotel but make sure your room is somewhere else if you expect some quiet around 10:30p. Hotel staff was not accommodating and wanted more money to change rooms. The bars last call is at 11p and you can assume it wont be quiet anytime soon after the bar closes. We booked stating with kids and Hilton Doubletree obviously doesn't account for parents with children when assigning rooms. Worst experience ever! Good morning addition, shower head probably never has been cleaned properly. Great start with hardly any sleep.

The restroom wasn't cleaned. There were hairs on the wall and the soap dispensers. When we asked the front desk for cleaning supplies to wipe it down ourselves, the maid used her master key to enter unannounced. She entered while children were sleeping and we were dressing. It was inappropriate and indecent.

Just stayed one night on a Saturday! Hotel is very nice the workout sppot was really cool and large compared to any Hotel Ive been in before. There is a nice pool sadly no hot tub! I gave the location 3 stars bc its not on the best/safest side of town and there didnt seem to be a lot of parking! I must point out though the restaurant on site was AMAZING!! Take about delicious!! But what was even better was the sweet server!! I wish I would have got her name!! But she was so sweet talked with the sweetest kindest voice! Always came to the table with a smile! She really made the whole stay!! Some might like this but there is a Wal-mart across the street literally!

On December 26, 2025, I dealt with a dishonest and misleading front desk employee working the 3–11 shift. Over the span of more than six hours, I was repeatedly misled regarding the availability of accommodations for my infant. What started as confirmation that rollaway cribs were available changed to them “not existing,” then changed again to pack-and-plays being available. Instead of being truthful from the beginning, I was strung along for hours. I arrived at the hotel close to 11:00 PM and was explicitly told that a pack-and-play would be placed in my room prior to arrival. When I entered the room, there was nothing there. I then went to the front desk, where the night shift employee told me that the prior employee claimed I was supposed to pick it up myself. That employee then went to search for the pack-and-play only to come back to tell me she did not know where they were. This was completely false and contradicted both what I was told earlier and what was documented in the chat. The 3–11 employee’s dishonesty directly caused confusion, delayed resolution (there was no resolution), and unfairly shifted the problem to the night shift front desk employee, turning this into an unnecessary late-night issue. As if that were not enough, the room above us was excessively loud, with nonstop stomping that made rest impossible. I called the front desk to have the issue addressed, only for the noise to become worse after the night shift employee claimed she went to “fix the problem.” The disturbance was not resolved until approximately 2:00 AM, presumably when the guests upstairs finally went to bed. The level of service at this hotel is completely unacceptable. I have stayed at a Hilton in Downtown Shreveport and once arrived to find toenail clippings on my bed; yet even that property provided better customer service than this DoubleTree. Being misled for over six hours, dealing with dishonest communication between staff, and enduring unresolved noise issues is inexcusable for a Hilton-branded property. This experience explains exactly why my employer transferred our business to The Overton Hotel in Lubbock when I am in town for work. This stay confirmed that decision was justified. Lastly, I find it telling that the response offered was, “Feel free to come by the desk so we can work on a solution for you.” If staff had truly been paying attention to their guests, they would have realized that I had already checked out and I will not be returning. The opportunity to “work on a solution” passed when your staff chose dishonesty, poor communication, and inaction throughout my stay.

I booked this property expecting a four star experience consistent with the Hilton name. What we encountered was the opposite, and I am genuinely unsure how this hotel maintains its current rating.
The most immediate issue was cleanliness. Our room felt dirty and dingy rather than professionally maintained, and the overall condition of the hotel left the impression of deferred upkeep. More concerning, we reserved two rooms for ourselves and out of town guests attending a graduation, and one room required a full linen change on the second night after dried blood was discovered on the bedding. This was found only after the guests had already slept in the bed the prior evening. That is not a minor oversight. It is a serious housekeeping failure and completely unacceptable at any price point, let alone under a brand associated with quality standards.
The location also materially impacted the stay. The surrounding area felt rough and uncomfortable, with a noticeable presence of unhoused individuals around the property, neighboring budget motels, and an abandoned building directly across the street. The hotel locks its doors at night and requires a room key for entry, which speaks for itself regarding the environment. Despite that, I did not observe any visible security presence at any point during our stay, which further undermined any sense of safety.
To be fair, the staff were friendly and handled their roles to an expected baseline. However, courteous service cannot compensate for poor sanitation, a worn atmosphere, and safety concerns. With multiple newer, cleaner hotels nearby that are closer to the graduation venue and often available at a better price, there is little justification for choosing this property.
We typically prefer Hilton and affiliated hotels because they are reliably comfortable and well managed. This stay was a far cry from that standard and a significant disappointment.
