- DDDebra Dunsmore2 days ago5.0We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lindale on a trip from Virginia to Austin, TX. The hotel is located close to the freeway, which made it very convenient for those who are travelling through the area. However, it was still very quiet in our rooms. The room was basic, but nice with a small fridge, coffeemaker with pods, a large tiled shower. The bed was very comfortable, and IHG hotels always have four pillows on each bed--two that are firm and foam, and two that are soft, which gives you a choice. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. There were pancakes that you could make, omelettes, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, bagels & English muffins, muffins, yogurt & toppings, and oatmeal with toppings. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

The rooms are very clean and comfortable, prices are great, but MOST of all, the customer service was above and beyond! I arrived at 3am and John was genuine, helpful and expedient. He even gave me a couple free bottles of water! After an exhausting and stressful day/night of driving, his kindness ended my night on a positive note!

I don't care for the location it's difficult to get to because of where the entrance is located but that's not anything they can change. I also didn't like they there was no water to purchase in their pantry. Other than that great hotel!

Despite the mid-budget pricing, they have gone out of their way to provide a superior experience in all respects from rooms, breakfast, the 24/7 coffee machine, the in-room Keurigs, and the fitness center with modern machines. It far exceeds the value you normally get at this price point. This is a gold standard and I wish other hotels would shape up. But until they do, this is my #1 preference when staying in the area.
