This will most likely become our go to hotel on our way to the port of Galveston. Rooms were clean, comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Shower pressure was good and water was hot. Air conditioning worked well. Location was very easy to find and there is a lot around the hotel as far as restaurants, shops, etc.

The first night of check-in I used the kitchenet to cook, there were roaches coming out from the bottom of the cabinet. I then went to take a shower and afterwards tried to blow dry my hair and the blow dryer started making a very loud noise and smoking. I alerted the rep at the desk, she stated that she would send maintenance the following day to check the dryer and spray the room. The next morning, I requested towels and was told they would be taken to my room before my return that afternoon. That evening I arrived, there were no towels, the room had not been sprayed (roaches crawling down the door that I took pictures of), and the blow dryer had not been fixed. I went downstairs and was told by the rep that the maintenance was out that day. She apologized and promised someone would come the next day. The next day, still no towels as requested, roaches not sprayed, and blow dryer not fixed. When I went down to complain the older lady said this is extended stay, we don't do all that. Never staying there again.

The check in process was unbelievable. The person at the front desk (name unknown, no name tag) made the check in process very unpleasant and unprofessional. She said the computers kept crashing. When asked if she had support that she could call, she replied that her only support had been taken to hospital by ambulance. It was evident that she didn’t seem to understand. The phone was ringing constantly and she could not answer because, “I’m not allowed if people are in front of me.” It was taking so long to register I put my wine on the desk and as she swung the scanner around, the wine went flying, my white shoes are now speckled with a lovely light purple shade. Once up to my room, after about 45 minutes at the desk…my key didn’t work. Once in the room I received a welcome text and asked to reply to that if anything was needed. I have replied to it several times with no response. We did speak with Alan at the front desk and he is attempting to sort out all the issues from the previous night. Multiple cards were tapped, swiped numerous times and we’re unsure where all the charges are. We are laughing about it this morning but the process was less than desirable. As a frequent traveler, this was the worst check in ever…..if Alan had not been so nice this morning, we would have changed hotels.
