- FWFelisha WNov 5, 20251.0The staff was pleasant enough however we couldn't even stay the night the smell of mold and mildew was so strong in our room and product used to cover up the smell was so thick it was a if you could taste it. 3 hours of being in the room we had a headache and sore throat we were told upon check out he would see what he could do but we would most likely still be getting charged for the night. It was a bit out dated but over all could get past some of that if the smell/mold and lack of ventilation was not a issue.

And then the very rude & unprofessional staff! Housekeeping especially! I saw a housekeeper (older mexican women) scream & cuss at the front desk girl. Right in front of guest too. I have always stayed at Candlewood Suites in whatever city im working in, but i will never go back to the one in LaPorte. They have the worst customer service I've ever seen. Hopefully they get a more friendly & professional staff.
